These are pretty cheap now, if you miss this one. I think the original 2 mic set with Lips is 33 bucks, and a more recent Lips game with 1 mic is 22 bucks on amazon. But this is a good deal if you don't want the game.

If you use a little aluminum foil and situate it just so....

A small child works just as well as aluminum foil, for those that may have one or two lying around.

Absolutely. I just couldn't assume everyone had indentured pre-teens. I hear teenagers aren't nearly as effective.

Re: The Video Game Deals Thread

Best Buy is apparently getting into the trade-in business. There's a promo for a Trade 2 (select titles) and get a $60 gift card. Normally these kinds of deals are extremely limited but it might be worth mentioning because many of the Wii titles are slightly ancient. I couldn't get as much selling on Half.com. The only issue is that most of us probably don't buy games from Best Buy all that often anymore.

www.bestbuy.com/gametradein

Metroid Other M and Twilight Princess would work for the $60. By comparison I could only get $23 and $12 from Amazon. And at best I could get $50 or so from selling these on Half.com. Might be worthwhile for you if you've got some dusty Wii games to sell. The PS3 and 360 lists are all brand new titles so not really worth it.

Best Buy will be selling PSP Go units for $149.99 this weekend only. I'm still not a fan of the lack of UMD, but with all the "free" content available for the PSP download with Playstation Plus, it might still be worth picking one up at that price.

Are they still offering the 3 free games? Amazon is still showing the bundle for the box art (free Ratchet & Clank Size Matters, Little Big Planet, and Socom 3), but I can't tell if it's a limited promotion.

From the Best Buy website :

PSPgo:
Now with three full game downloads!
Step up your game with the high-performing PSPgo. Buy one now and you can get a code to download three top titles — Ratchet and Clank: Size Matters, SOCOM U.S. Navy SEALs Fireteam Bravo 3, and LittleBigPlanet — for free! See system package for redemption details. Order yours today.
So I'd assume that it would.

Yes. I just got the promotion and it tells me it expires in March of 2011.

All you need to do is register your system on Playstation Network. It took about a week to receive the email that validated my registration and allowed me to download the games.

Re: The Video Game Deals Thread

I notice GTA4: Complete is on the list of games that you can get $25 off of if you buy CoD: Black Ops at Kmart.

I know this isn't exactly on the level, but theoretically, if I were to buy CoD at Kmart and get GTA4: Complete for 15 bucks, what would happen if I returned CoD?

You'd get your money back for CoD... it's a scam that will probably, eventually force Kmart to change their policy.

Re: The Video Game Deals Thread

I didn't see it mentioned here, but in today's Toys R Us Ad, if you buy any Video game at $59.99 or more, you get a $20 GC. If you buy 2, you get a $50 GC.

Seems like a good deal if you have some money to burn or credit left on your credit cards.

Wow, that's actually a great deal. Better than B2G1. Pretty much two games for the price of one, +$10.
