Re: The Video Game Deals Thread

I was temped to re-buy Fallout 3 as a digital download at that price for convenience, but sadly I'm fast running out of HDD + USB drive space and this late into the life cycle of the 360 I'm not buying a bigger one (if one is even sold larger than mine). I'm still debating getting The Darkness for $5. Is it worth picking up if I already have Darkness 2? Is it better or more fun than that game?

Here are the March 2013 @Gamer coupons. Better than the past few months at least.

Valid from 3/3 - 4/6:

$25 off Battlefield 3 (Standard) (PS3 & 360) - $15 AC
$25 off Dragon Ball Z Kinect (360) - $5 AC
$22 off Assassin's Creed: Revelations (360) - $8 AC
$20 off Doom 3 BFG Edition (PS3 & 360) - $20 AC
$20 off Tekken Tag Tournament 2 (PS3 & 360) - $20 AC
$10 off Zone Of The Enders HD Collection (PS3 & 360) - $20 AC
$20 off Call Of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 Pre-Owned (PS3 & 360) - $10 AC
$40 off Turtle Beach Ear Force DX12 - $80 AC

I'm hoping for a price drop or sale sometime in March on ZOE HD, TTT2 and/or Doom 3. It's worth waiting the coupons out until right before they expire. I'd grab any of those for $9.99, but don't feel I have to get them at $20.

My 360 only had 20 gb out the gate, great system but I can't support digital downloads on the thing, not now at least.

Same here minus ZOE HD. $10, easy gimme. $20...I know both of those games will be $20 in the future, so no rush unless I'm feeling all impulse buying. Darkness I is a must if you like the second one. Its just knowing the story. I enjoy the mythos though and even read the graphic novels, so for me its a little different.

That's too early for BS:I, right? I need to check my list of skipped games as I can only think of Dead Space 3 right now, but even $40 net is too much as it's already been that cheap.

Re: The Video Game Deals Thread

Right before the new Luigi 3ds game too. At least god of war, tomb raider and gears are all out. The new Monster Hunter game will be out as well. If PC games work, there's also SC2: HoS and WoW time cards. I am not sure if PC stuff worked before though. I think timecards worked at one time...

Now I need to figure out if I want to get Gears from Target for $40 or Gears from BB for $60 with a $20 reward cert as well as 60 days to price match... I am leaning towards Target as I still haven't renewed my gamer unlocked. I just hope there aren't any sales on Gears until 61 days lol

To make it easier for you, Best Buy's dramatically altered their price match policy. You can only price match competitors at the point of sale and you can only get post-purchase price adjustments 1) for 15 days and 2) from Best Buy's in-store and online prices. The days of getting the $20 bonus and then getting another $10 - $30 back on the game are over.

Silver members still have 60 days to price match until sometime in April. Otherwise I wouldn't even be thining about Best Buy.

Is the post purchase price match initially extended for Reward Zone Premier Silver customers?
Yes. Reward Zone Premier Silver customers will receive a 60 day post purchase price match to Best Buy's prices for purchases that occur on or before April 18, 2013. Reward Zone Premier Silver customers will receive a 15 day post purchase price match to Best Buy's prices for purchases that occur on or after April 19, 2013.
