Here're the Cyber Week deals so far from Amazon. Nothing too special, yet. http://t.co/viVIzf7s

I was at gamestop at lunch and saw a new Rock Band 3 bundle for sale. In includes a wireless fender guitar, the game and 5 DLC songs by RHCP. It was only $50. 360 only though Also, stand alone keyboards are $40 for every system.

Kinda amazes me how the public interest in music games dropped to zero so quickly. I guess the market got too saturated with that stuff.

This is part of the relaunch of RB3 with the new Mad Katz publisher.

Re: The Video Game Deals Thread

Steam has their Autumn Sale on now, with daily deals through the 27th. As usual, it's best to hold off on the publishers' catalogs until the last day, since some games might be featured in a daily deal for even less.

BTW, is Duke Nukem Forever worth $6.79?

Yah, certainly if you like old school First Person Shooters. I reviewed it, so truth be told, I didn't pay for it but if I hadn't, I would have paid in the $15 range for it. It has a decent multiplayer (though I imagine is probably not too many peeps anymore) and the single player is actually not bad. It's just not the world beater everybody wanted it to be. (Quick plug, you can check out my review at the link in my sig).

On PC, they fixed some issues where you're limited to only 2 weapons, so I imagine the game is a bit more fun to play now.

Re: The Video Game Deals Thread

Picked up Orcs Must Die on Steam for $3.75. Seriously, how could anyone pass that up?

And I don't have a dog in this fight, but before dropping even $7 on Duke Nukem Forever, you should probably watch this review. It scared me away from even renting it for a night.

I paid full price and didn't even regret it. It's not ground breaking or even anything great but it got judged way too harshly in my opinion. I had fun with it. It was supposed to be humorous (like duke 3d of 1996) and it was. I feel it got scored on just the fact it took so long to finally release. If that's the case, Rage should have got a 2, at least Duke made me laugh.

Steam currently has The Witcher: Enhanced Edition Director's Cut for $6.69 and The Witcher 2: Assassins of Kings Digital Premium Edition for $26.79. Is it worth jumping on them for that price?

Since those are from the publishers' catalogs, it's worth waiting until the 27th to see if they get to be in a daily deal for an even bigger discount.

I think today's best deal is Fallout: New Vegas for $4.99. That's for the base game, and the DLC is also 75% off. The total is $11.44 for all of the DLC, making the complete package less than $17.

Re: The Video Game Deals Thread

Amazon
Well Batman:AC sold out in less than 30 seconds. I'm like #82 on the waiting list even though I hit add to cart about 6-7 seconds after the deal started. GOW3 did about the same thing selling out in under about 30 seconds.

Thanks. I'm still new to Steam and just saw that it was part of their current sale. I didn't know it could go down even cheaper.

Thanks for the heads up. I didn't know Amazon did downloads. Is there a specific client I need to install or is this juse a simple .exe deal?
