That's a great price, but you'll be kicking yourself if it ends up being a daily deal for around $10.

Thanks for the heads up. I didn't know Amazon did downloads. Is there a specific client I need to install or is this juse a simple .exe deal?
I believe they just give you a link to a zipped up version of the install. Not 100% sure. Witcher 2 is completely DRM free, so what you get from Amazon doesn't require any sort of clients to play.

I'm cool with it. I played a little last night and it locked up quite a bit. Finally found a couple of patches to get it stable again. The game looks so much better on the PC over the console versions.

On Steam, The Witcher 2: Assassins of Kings Digital Premium Edition is now $23.99 (not as cheap as Amazon) and The Witcher: Enhanced Edition Director's Cut is $2.49 (the cheapest I've ever seen).

That's cool. ANd will I be able to port over saves from the Steam version of The Witcher to a downloaded copy (via Amazon) of The Witcher 2? I looked online but couldn't find an answer.

Re: The Video Game Deals Thread

I've bought so many video games over the last two days:

Assassin's Creed: Revelations (360)
Uncharted 2 Game of the Year edition
Uncharted 3 Drake's Deception
Saints Row 1 and 2 Combo Pack (360)
Battlefield 3 (360)
God of War III
Grand Theft Auto Episodes from Liberty City (360)

And a couple weeks ago I bought Arkham City and Skyrim.

I probably won't play a few of these until a couple months from now at the earliest...but the prices couldn't be beat.

Re: The Video Game Deals Thread

After going a little crazy last year (and a lot crazy during the last Steam sale), I kept it together and only got one game this year; Arkham City (got in on the Amazon lightning deal, wheeee!).

Now, I just need to finish Deus Ex, play through Arkham over the next few weeks and wait for a price drop on Skyrim and I'll be set video game wise for quite a while.

Re: The Video Game Deals Thread

I didn't see any GH bundles at all, but they did have DJ Hero, unfortunately I didn't look at the price. The $5 GH games were right in front of the customer service desk, then about 20 feet away they had an $18.88 display (nothing notable, and not in original sealed cases), and in their electronics department was the stack of Shred bundles, DJ Hero, and game accessories.

Is Splinter Cell Conviction any good? Steam has the deluxe edition at $6.24 for the next 13 hours.

Foir reference, I've only ever played the first Splinter Cell game.

Thanks. For that cheap I'll take a swing by and see if they're in-stock at my local one.

I grabbed the 360 version when it was less than $20 on Amazon and went in expecting so-so game play. I ended up finishing the game and came away impressed and had some fun with it. I would say the closet thing is maybe Rainbow Six: Vegas but instead of squad base you're alone. It's built around stealth type play and to me had a pretty good storyline as well.

Re: The Video Game Deals Thread

Apparently according to targets ad the 1 year ps+ memberships are 14.95 each. The ad shows the 1 year card with 14.95 under it. People are having good luck getting them to pricematch their own ad for them at that price.
