It finally went free for me. Price drops often take time to circulate throughout all the servers (or some other technical-type reason). Fairly fun castle defense game, but too much finger action for me, I prefer the more strategy tower defense type.

Really nice freebie today : HotField, a bullet-hell SHMUP with all sorts of different control schemes available. Jump on this one.

Seems to have fairly good reviews, a RTS-like game.

I was able to start the download on the flaky wi-fi at work, and finish it on itunes at home. Not sure when I'll get around to syncing it to my phone. I have about 600 apps on my phone to check out/finish first.

Today's free Gameloft game should be up in about 6 hours according to there twitter.

Try Uniwar or Mecho Wars. I personally prefer Uniwars, the setting of Mecho Wars seems a bit daft. Don't expect a story experience of the same of level as Advance Wars though.

I like Battle for Wesnoth. I picked it up when it was a buck and it shocked me with the amount of content. It has a ton of missions (it has had a couple expansions that i think were added in free). It is turn-based like the other recommendations but it is a fantasy theme. Knights, elves, archers, orcs, etc.

Transformers G1 is surprisingly good and very similar to Advance Wars.

They're teasing that it's a big one, both in size (so big it must be purchased over wifi, not 3G) and popularity (one of their top 3 sellers). Don't miss this one people!

I figure no matter what it is since they're free why not get them all?
