Can't vouch for each game's quality as I just downloaded it now, but Glow Night Collection (16 games & counting) is free today.

^ Ratings look decent, I'm sure at least a couple of them will be worth the bother.

I'll hopefully remember to d/l it when i get home to wifi.

Just played through the two levels of Crush the Castle Free twice. I'll be plunking down my 0.99 for this one.

I use Text+. It is ad supported and runs slow but it's free and you can group chat with any number of people. It also has a limit of 140 characters per text and censors out your f*ck*ng texts.

For me the group chat far outweighs any of the other cons.

Re: iPhone/iPod Touch App Talk

I finally listened to everyone in this thread and got Sword & Poker on Friday. And I've been addicted to it ever since! I've now taken to neglecting my family and home in favor of this game, so... seriously, fuck all you guys.

Best $1.99 I ever spent.

Dude, you are not alone. My wife is probably at the end of her rope by now. Yeah, give me two minutes honey, I'm about ready to clear this level.

I wanted to start Dead Space this weekend so prior to doing so I decided to install it to the hard drive. To kill time, guess what, turned to S&P and never really got into Dead Space.

Thanks! Looks like a well-rated game, but I won't have wireless until I get home and it's expired. Darn!

Do you have itunes?
I wonder if you can just go to itunes, log in, and click the "FREE" button. That should associate your account with the game.

Then when you get home, it would be like you were re-downloading it? (for free)?

Thanks, I thought of that, but don't think it would go over well. Work is pretty sensitive about what programs can be installed, and the web blockers block pretty much all images and video, so I think installing itunes here would be a big no-no.

I can sometimes get the master building wifi signal in my office stairwell, trying that now.

Back on topic, that Glow Night collection from yesterday or so appears to be total crap. I've only tried three of the games so far, but all were worthless.

Re: iPhone/iPod Touch App Talk

I unfortunately don't have a WiFi signal anywhere near me at work...but I also have no restrictions on installing software, since I am the one responsible for installing everyone's software. I just finished downloading the Ferrari game here, so we'll see if it lets me redownload it at home without issue.

I was just about to post that. I bought it when it was on sale for $2.99 over Easter. It's a really good port and looks GREAT. Just as frustrating as you remember, but certainly worth getting, especially at that price.

Re: iPhone/iPod Touch App Talk

Booger. Castle of Magic was the free happy hour game early this morning, my first day to sleep-in all week. I had been tracking that game waiting for a drop.

I had forgotten to set my twitter to 'follow gameloft' to my cell.

It was like 1 AM PT/ 4 AM ET when the deal went live, did you really want to get woken up in the middle of the night for that deal?

Yeah, it only takes a few seconds to start the download and go back to sleep.
