Just finished this last ngiht and I just have to say (like everyone else): What an incredible game. If you looked up the word 'Epic' in the dictionary, this game would be the definition. I can't wait to start going through it again on hard.

UNCHARTED 2: Among Thieves Celebrates Halloween with a Title Update and a Double Cash Weekend

The next time you start up UNCHARTED 2: Among Thieves you will be required to download an update to the game.

Here’s the list of (most of) the changes we made. Some changes have been withheld to protect the innocent.

* Addressed respawn points when the artifact goes out of bounds in the Plunder gametype
* Dynamically adjust the win condition for fewer players during the course of a match
* Added features to deter players from voluntarily leaving during a match
* Added rate limit to “When a Chapter is Completed” Twitter event
* Fixed a display issue during letterboxing
* Fixed Danish Trophy description
* Fixed screenshot utility in standard definition resolutions
* Fixed the “Players Met” list not displaying recent players
* Addressed a variety of Multiplayer connectivity issues

With Halloween on the horizon, we wanted to take this spooky occasion to announce that this weekend is also our first ever Double Cash Weekend in UNCHARTED 2: Among Thieves. The Double Cash Weekend starts on Friday, October 30, 2009, at 11:00 AM PST and continues until Monday, October 30, 2009, at 11:00 AM PST.

In every match during Double Cash Weekend, you’ll be getting twice the Cash award you normally would for completing typical game actions – not medal-related currency awards – giving everyone a leg up in increasing their Rank for a limited time. That means this weekend is the perfect time to hop on to our Competitive and Co-op Multiplayer modes – whether you’re just a few levels away from the vaunted ‘X’ or this is just your first time online.

A bunch of Naughty Dogs will also be playing this weekend, so be on the lookout for the red Naughty Dog paw next to our PSN ID in the game and feel free to say hi, ask any questions or shoot at our characters. Stay sharp! There might be something spooky around the next corner…

This is my game of the year so far. By far. It's the first game in a long time that I started to replay again right away after beating it the first time. I'm almost done with hard and then I might give crushing a try.

I like the double cash announcement for online play too. I'll have to do some of that today.

Finished this on Thursday....great game!!! Easily one of the best on any platform.

Just finished it the first time on normal mode. I loved Drake's Fortune, but this really tops it by a lot. I'm going to take a short break then start it again on hard. Tried some of the multiplayer modes, but really getting my ass kicked.

Ditto...and I finished the game on crushing. It's tough to play with people who have the perks and know the maps.

I'm sticking with co-op (which I enjoy more anyway) for now.

I recommend just skipping to crushing. Hard doesn't really feel much different from normal and you get credit for both if you do crushing.

I'm about 5 chapters in now and loving it. And I'm hitting myself because I just now realized that I can shoot treasures down from spots. I missed two already because I could not figure out how to get up to them. Alas, I'll pick them up when I go back on crushing.

Yeah, I figured that out a little ways in too haha.

Fantastic overall game that has some overlookable gameplay/game design issues. The production values were absolutely fantastic and I do hope they get this in movie form sometime -- the scene of would be truly spectacular done right (cinematically speaking).

The first 75% were substantally better than the last 25% (where the game devolves to a straight up action shooter with minimal plot) but what a phenomenally well done product. One of the few games I was sad to see end not because of gameplay, but because of how much I enjoyed the characters and world.

You never played Resident Evil 4?

No. But I did play the first Uncharted 3 times, and those treasures you could find a way to get by jumping, walking, leaping, and so on. I guess this just falls under new and improved tactics for a sequel. :-)

chess, how's the co-op been? Is it just the city stage that they had in the beta, or are there more levels than that?

Thanks, I didn't know that either. I tried to get a treasure in the ice caves and couldn't reach it. (although, I can't remember if I actually had a weapon at the time)

Yeah I didn't know about it until later in the game.

I don't know why, but it reminded me so much of RE4 that I was just trained to shoot it down...didn't even give it a second thought.

This is the most polished game I've ever seen, bar none. Visuals, story, acting, sound, setpieces...wait till you see the trucks (trying to be vague) if you haven't already.

The co-op is really fun and has a good assortment (5-6?) different areas.

I'll hop on tonight if any Warhawkers want to play...probably around 7PM as long as nothing comes up. I think the co-op is for 3 players.

I'm very mistake ridden this year.

I believe that Hard Mode has to be completed before Crushing is unlocked...
