Yeah I tried to look around for the Crushing mode option until I realized I had to beat it on Hard first. At the water fountain part now on that

I didn't realize that...thought I'd wasted my time playing through on hard...guess not.

So now playing Uncharted 2 can be a "waste of time"? What happened to GOTY?

I just beat it on normal. I bought most of the guns. Do I get to use them if I replay the single player? If I play on hard or crushing or whatever, will those guns be available or only for the difficulty I beat it at?

I didn't find the stealth parts of the game any different from medium...and I therefore used stealth a lot more on hard and crushing. Particularly toward the end.

Word of advice on crushing...save your grenades on the monestary. You'll need them. I used mine climbing down the inside of a building and found out that I REALLY needed them at the bottom. Other than the final boss, it's the only place I really got stuck.

Good luck on the last boss on crushing...probably took me 15-25 tries.

At this point, I've played through the campaign on normal, hard and crushing...and I don't even want to think about how many times I've played through individual levels looking for treasure on very easy.

So yeah...I've wasted some time.

I've barely scratched the surface on multiplayer, but "horde mode" is a riot.

I started on Hard. I was playing Uncharted 1 on hard, and started Uncharted 2 immediately after I finished.

I'm not using any guides, 90% done and 12 hours spent. I may try Crushing before U3 is released or when I'm bored sometime in the future.

95% and sorry but I'm getting tired of this "extended" finale. I think they should have ended the game like 2 chapters ago.

Still a solid candidate for Game of the Year, of course, but the end is becoming too long, and kind of a chore in hard. And I feel like I've been repeating the same procedures for the last 2 hours.

Yeah, the extended "finale" that starts around 75% in is trying.

regarding mp, what does the difficulty setting mean? Do you earn more money for having it on normal rather than easy? Or is it just the settings that it uses?

Good point. Does putting it on easy mean everyone will play easy if you host the game, or does it mean whatever the lowest setting is what everyone plays on (i.e. 2 people have medium but one has easy so that means everyone is playing on easy)?

not sure if it matters, but I realized it says "co-op difficulty" so maybe it just pairs based on that preference.....and then non-co-op wouldn't rely on that setting.....although I have no idea.

Argh!! I found 1 thing to hate about multiplayer (in addition to the couple of things I simply dislike)...penalty for leaving games!!!

I can understand it, but when it's the result of your game freezing it can really kill you! I was actually, by some miracle, at the top of my teams leaderboard and poof!! Got knocked down from 12 to 6! You do keep whatever perks you bought while at a higher level (at least it appears that way).

yeah, I've had that happen several times. Never did I leave the game....it was always network error.




I also had it show up saying something about player profile has been modified or edited therefore no money will be able to be earned in mp and all the money in my account will be $0. I had gone back to my single player game and unlocked some more weapons/tweaks and that was the problem. I had to create a new game and bring my stats with me and then it was all good (even got money back that). It took me a couple days to get it to work and I even deleted one of my saves (half through on hard) trying to get it to work.

I read that Uncharted 2 doesn't have dedicated servers like Resistance 2 and that has something to do with connectivity.....although what, I have no idea.

Does anyone have any suggestions or tips on how to get the Steel Fist Expert medal. It's the one where you have to "Defeat ten enemies in a row with a single punch, after softening them up with gunfire". I've tried doing it but it's so varied.. I'll try to shoot a guy in the legs, but sometimes a guy will die quicker than others. Also is there any recommended gun to use?

Just polished off the game within a week on hard. Like the first one, an awesome gaming experience from start to finish.

A huge gripe, just like in the first installment, is the pathetically frustrating HAND-HOLDING throughout the game. Is it even possible to get stuck in a "what do I do next?" situation in this thing? You can simply walk around and a "push this button now" hint will appear. How they continue to not give an option to disengage the MAJOR hints is beyond me. I have hints turned off under the game options, I can only imagine what those entail. Do they explicitly write on the screen of what you do next with those hints enabled?

When you're dense enough (like I was, getting crushed by spikes again and again), then yes, they do!
Usually, they just give you the option to press up on the D pad and pan over to what you're supposed to interact with.

installed the update tonight and now I'm getting a f'n "error syncing models" message whenever I try connecting/syncing livedata

Answering my own question. I was able to get the medal during 'The Dig'. I got the suggestion from ps3trophies.com, definetely worth checking out if you haven't before.
