I don't know, you should make gold while not playing, if you own businesses or rented out houses. It won't show instantly when you restart, but after like 5 min a deposit will be added to your coffers. The more you own, the more gets added every 5 min increment. I think I'm somewhere around 8000 every 5 min. I suppose they could have patched the game so it doesn't do that anymore, but since it's not a bug, but actually stated in-game about how you'll continue to earn in real-time, I doubt they would have. I'd check but my 360 is speeding its way to TX in its coffin right now. Unless something has changed, I should have millions when it finally comes back.

Re: Fable II
My google skills are failing me. I have the DLC and I am sure there is a way to get my dog back (the devs more than hinted toward it), but I cannot find it. Any help folks?

Re: Fable II
So I downloaded Knothole last night and the first damned quest is one of those sword/gun/spell/sword/spell/gun super mario bros. friggin skill tests. How many more of these do I have the pleasure of looking forward to?
When I started the game back up, I had 3 million in gold added to my account. I guess those investments really paid off, I would imagine my money is no good on the island.

Thanks, Tsar, now I will not download it. I truly hate that "sword/gun/spell/sword/spell/gun" thingy. It made me wanted to throw my controller at my monitor.

And it doesn't get any better after the first quest. The monsters when they even appear are recycles from the game. Its pretty lame DLC.

i traded Fallout 3 for this. Fallout bored me to tears. i am loving Fable 2 so far. i spent an hour last night chopping wood and made around 40k. I have no clue why that was fun to me but it was. i used my money to buy a big axe and a big gun, and I went and annihilated some bandits. can't wait to play somemore tonight.

I can't remember how to get people to think I am nice any longer. My purity is maxed out but kids and women still run away screaming. I'm on the 3rd quest on the island, I did the sun and the rain, now working on storm, more sword, shoot, spell, shoot, spell nonsense. Where's the creativity?

Wow. Fable II is great, but it doesn't hold a candle to Fallout 3.

You know the thingy to unlock a door, you need to shoot at a ball that float waiting for you to hit it. I'm not excellent aiming with controller...
I'm not acheivement whore.
If anything, there are new acheivements. I mean it's not a total loss.

I know I'm late to this party, but I just finished the main game (damn RRoD) and wanted to ask about the ending. I'll spoilerize.

I just started playing over the weekend.
My RPG experience is limited to various Zelda games, so these will be pretty dumb questions: do I have to eat? do I have to feed the dog?
I'd rather rely on potions for healing (myself and the pooch). I've gone several "game days" without bothering to eat (or sleep), so I'm guessing it isn't "required".

If you sleep in a bed you own (or perhaps rent as well, like from a hotel), you get a bonus depending on the house (stronger, scarier, more xp, people like/fear you more, etc).
I really liked Fallout 3 and Fable 2, though they are incredibly different games. I went Good in Fallout and Evil in Fable, not sure why. I think I 'cared' more about the people in Fallout, they seemed more real and different to me. Plus, the Evil Dog looked cool.
I haven't booted it up since I finished it, I should play it again and rake in my billion gold.
I think the only thing that I didn't really like about Fable 2 was the spellcasting, it seemed a little awkward, handling multiple spells. However, I'm also not sure how they could have done it while keeping it very easy to handle and real-time.
