Re: Official PSN Games Thread
You climb the big plant and then guide the branches into different floating sections to collect crystals. Again, not the most groundbreaking thing in the world, but it's colorful and cute enough to stick with for awhile. Like I said, getting over the control hurdle is going to make or break this game for a lot of people.

Re: Official PSN Games Thread
Well, I was down on this game since I thought it looked like a PS2 tech demo (and still think so), but I'm hardly down on all indie games. Hell I've been effusive with my praise of Castle Crashers -- it's the game that keeps on giving. The new XO version is glorious and just as awesome as it was five years ago. And some of the indie games we've gotten as freebies for the PS4 have been great : Resogun is maybe still my favorite game on the console. I've loved Guacamelee, Never Alone, Transistor (which I bought on sale), The Swapper (which I bought at launch), Olli Olli 2, Rocket League and probably dozens more. I also really liked Stick It To The Man -- that's the reason why I voted for Zombie Vikings in this Vote To Play thing. I think it looks fun (and thought Armello looked great too, though the IGN review indicates it's got problems)
There are lots of GREAT indie games for the system. I just don't think Grow Home is one of them. |

Re: Official PSN Games Thread
The season pass alone is $12.99 if you already bought the game. I haven't touched it in a couple months though. It was hard to go back after FH2.

Re: Official PSN Games Thread
Shouldn't we be voting for October's PS Plus games by now? Or was that just a 1 month thing?
|
Re: Official PSN Games Thread
I don't know for sure yet, but it doesn't look like they're having us vote for October. Maybe not a bad thing overall.
|
Re: Official PSN Games Thread
They are probably just going to give the games that lost this month and next.
|
Re: Official PSN Games Thread
Looks like Super Meat Boy is going to be one of the free titles for October (it releases on Oct 6, and the developer has already stated it is going to be free for PLUS users at launch).
Yay! Another super hard game I can't get past level one on! :D |
Re: Official PSN Games Thread
I can't find the original article I saw it in but the voting for games isn't going to be a monthly thing, just something they do now and then apparently.

Re: Official PSN Games Thread
Looks like we are getting broken age as well.
There were a few other no-name games added, but I can't find the link anymore ... |
Re: Official PSN Games Thread
In Europe at least it's :
Broken Age (PS4/PS Vita) Super Meat Boy (PS4/PS Vita) Unmechanical Extended (PS4/PS3) Kickbeat (PS Vita/PS3) Kung Fu Rabbit (PS Vita/PS3) Also note that the much-derided Driveclub PS Plus Edition goes away 10/6 so grab it by then |
Re: Official PSN Games Thread
I finally gave DriveClub a spin the other night... for about 10 minutes. It was pretty, but I gotta have an arcade racer.
|
Re: Official PSN Games Thread
After playing some Forza 6, I can't go back to Driveclub.

Re: Official PSN Games Thread
 I really hated Chariot. I already deleted my XO freebie of that game.
|
Re: Official PSN Games Thread
Unmechanical was a decent game. I really enjoyed the first half of Broken Age but hated the second half. I know Super Meat Boy is not for me. Chariot and Kung Fu Rabbit I'll check out.

Re: Official PSN Games Thread
So, whatever happened to Rime?
|
Re: Official PSN Games Thread
No super deals this week, but if you're buying RB4 and DLC or if you were getting a digital copy of the Uncharted Collection, this promotion might be of some use to you :

Re: Official PSN Games Thread
I'm thinking about Pre-Ordering Just Cause 3 ($59.99)and Ratchet & Clank PS4 ($39.99).
I'm definitely getting both games and neither has RZ preorder credit from Best Buy. I rarely buy digital copies (especially of pre-orders) but in this case with $15 back, it might be worth it. Plus exclusive pre-order themes. Hmmm...... (and yes, I know that's only $99.98, but I already picked up a 99 cent Halloween Dynamic theme for the PS4) |

Re: Official PSN Games Thread
Yes I am, until 2022. With tax in NV, those two would be about $52 + $35 or $87.
With Sony, it would be exactly $100 - $15 or $85. So I'd save $2, but have to lay out more up front. I would get two themes and have digital convenience, but wouldn't be able to cancel in the (very unlikely) event that Just Cause 3 turns out to be not good. I'd be able to sell the games back, but let's be real here -- I'm never selling my R&C games. It's razor-thin, but I'm leaning towards digital here. edit : of course, if I go physical media, I could always rent Just Cause 3 from Gamefly to mess around with it for a few weeks, and then buy it later when it goes on sale. Maybe you're right and I should wait for a Best Buy sale instead. |
Re: Official PSN Games Thread
Those PSN credits usually get me thinking about the digital-only games; but the last few games I bought went on a deep discount sale within a few months.
This promo works with preorders, though? |
