Also need to think about Tetris. Want it, but don't think I'd ever actually play it.

I'm almost afraid to buy Tetris since it might get offered for free at some point through Plus.

Re: Official PSN Games Thread
I'll think about that Decker, thanks.
Also, the PS Blog stated that the discount would be even greater for PSN+ members on Wakeboarding HD... which matters not since it doesn't matter how much you pay for shovelware, you're still buying shovelware. |
Re: Official PSN Games Thread
I don't think Wakeboarding HD is shovelware though. It's just a crappy game.
|
Re: Official PSN Games Thread
I think the rate that their small team is "delivering" "crappy" games to the PSN qualifies it as shovelware. There's certain elements of some of the games I enjoy, I just wish that they put all that effort into one game, one quality game, instead of 7 or 8 mediocre games. But that is obviously just my opinion.

Re: Official PSN Games Thread
Decker or anyone else, have you tried out Monsters (Probably) Stole My Princess?
Looks like it could be fun. Don't know if this one would qualify ever for a PS+ freebie, but wanted to see if anyone had and liked it. |
Re: Official PSN Games Thread
I haven't. Though I've heard good things about it and think the title is hilarious. I might still pick it up before the sale ends next Tues.
|
Re: Official PSN Games Thread
Just saw there was some DLC for Trine! 99 cents. Anyone try it out yet?
|
Re: Official PSN Games Thread
I have a question about that Tetris port. Does it allow you to turn off certain features they have added to make the game easier? I shouldn't be able to rotate the piece indefinitely, and I've seen pieces placed where they clearly should not go.
Watch what he does with the purple piece at 1:02 here: |
Re: Official PSN Games Thread
I just checked. I can't find an option to turn off certain features. Still, there are MANY varients available to play. It may or may not be your favorite version of the game and perhaps it's a little too easy. Still it's a great downloadable game and well worth $5.

Re: Official PSN Games Thread
Speaking of minis, are all of them compatible with the PS3, or are some PSP-only?

Re: Official PSN Games Thread
EA is supposed to be coming out with a PS3 version of Tetris, so that's why. "Later this year" is the only info as to when it will be released.
About these Minis, they're natively PSP games, right? If so, Sony has a PSP emulator running these games that they haven't opened up to non-Mini PSP games? |

Re: Official PSN Games Thread
well I was excited to finally get a Joe Danger demo .....
however as nice as the game looked the repetitive gameplay convinced me it wasn't a purchase for me demo did seem to offer a lot of the game though |
Re: Official PSN Games Thread
They mix up the gameplay pretty good. It's less repetitive than Trials HD. If you've waited this long to buy it, you can certainly wait for the inevitable 50% off sale, but at that point, I'd certainly pick it up. It's a pretty phenomenal game.

Wasn't really that crazy about the first one. |
Re: Official PSN Games Thread
Anybody play the Top Gun game?
|
Re: Official PSN Games Thread
Well, Castle Crashers is finally coming to PSN on 8/31/10, a mere 25 months after it hit the XBLA. If you never got a 360, this is one game well worth picking up.
|
Re: Official PSN Games Thread
Sorry PixelJunk Racers. I tried your demo again. I really want to buy you on sale and reunite you with all your brothers and sisters on my PS3. I should like you, I mean you're a PixelJunk game! Still, I find you completely unplayable and zero fun. It's probably me, not you. No hard feelings?

Glad to hear they're making PJ Shooter 2, I had a lot of fun with the first one. Is there a release date yet? |
Re: Official PSN Games Thread
Castle Crashers is $14.99 but I believe it comes with all the DLC released so far for CC on the 360 (maybe not though?) as well as some extra gameplay modes (or mode).
|
Re: Official PSN Games Thread
Thanks TL, I'll probably hold out til it's under 10.
|
Re: Official PSN Games Thread
Although I'm sure it will go on sale at some point, it's offered at the same price as it is on the 360 but comes with a whole lot more. So comparatively, it's a great deal.
