Still waiting on the NA PlayStation Plus announcement for November.

Asia getting Thief (PS4) and Mass Effect 2 (PS3), so those seem likely for us as well

Re: Official PSN Games Thread

Thief after we got it on 360 and PS3? -rolleyes-

Re: Official PSN Games Thread

Well, to be fair that's Asia at this point. And this would be the first Next-Gen version of the game given away.

Re: Official PSN Games Thread

I'm fine with it. Free is free and I'd rather play the next gen version anyway. Could be worse.... \cough VOLGAR \cough

Re: Official PSN Games Thread

Or giving away the same game for both the XO and the 360 at the same time...

Looks like Europe is getting Walking Dead Season 2 and Magica 2

Kind of a weird freebie without TWD Season 1 ever being a PS Plus freebie (well the full season never was), but still not bad for those that never bought it.
I wouldn't mind playing some Magica 2 with my friend if we get it for free...

Re: Official PSN Games Thread

Games for Gold just had season 1 for free, someone with both consoles could play season 1 on the XO and then season 2 on the PS4, although the decisions wouldn't carry over.

Re: Official PSN Games Thread

No one in Europe has an XO though, LOL

It's strange how the US announcement is always after all the other regions and as close to the start of the month as possible.

Yup, though outside of some minor characters who appeared in 500 days, I don't really think any of your decisions make any difference to Season 2, do they?

Re: Official PSN Games Thread

I haven't played season two, but I assumed some decisions carried over? Maybe not.

I hope the Magicka 2 rumors are true, I was almost going to buy that one. Just hope it isn't as hard as they say

Never did finish season 1 of Walking Dead. Is it a continuation or stand-alone?

Nice! wonder why they haven't announced the PS3/crossplay games?

Season 2 uses the choices you made from season 1 and the DLC.

Well, it really doesn't (except for the 500 Days DLC -- and even that's really minimal).

Still, I think you'd really be missing out if you hadn't played TWD Season 1 first.

Re: Official PSN Games Thread

Yeah I mean it doesn't shape huge plot points or anything, but geez, don't play season two without playing season one in some way, shape or form.

Gooter 10-30-15 12:09 PM

Re: Official PSN Games Thread

^What they said. Definitely play 1 before 2. 1 was such an amazing experience. I'm wondering how did 2 stack up to it?

chuckd21 10-30-15 12:12 PM

Re: Official PSN Games Thread

2 is still a strong season. Just doesn't have the emotional gutpunches that the first season had.

Gooter 10-30-15 12:20 PM

Re: Official PSN Games Thread

Thanks Chuck. I was teary-eyed at the end of 1 and not ashamed to admit it.

Decker 10-30-15 12:38 PM

Re: Official PSN Games Thread

Yeah, I just played both this Summer. Thought S1 was much stronger emotionally, but S2 is also very good and the changes they made to "gameplay" are definitely for the better.

I couldn't imagine getting much out of Season 2 without playing S1 first.

Does the spend $100 get $15 back promo work with pre-orders as well? I notice there's a new Bloodborne complete edition available to order, but it doesn't release until the end of November.
