This promo works with preorders, though?

Yes, but why would you do a preorder if you're concerned about a deep discount in a few months? I'm holding out for a real sale or 2 to get me to at least $60 and then maybe I'd look at something approaching MSRP.

We should also be seeing some B2G1 from different stores in the next 4 - 6 weeks. That's a huge discount stacked with GCU.

I don't think we've ever seen B2 G1 stacked with GCU. Best Buy hasn't offered it since starting GCU and won't match and give GCU discount as well.

Eh, I figure the newer the game, the longer it'll take to go to deep discount (unless it's made by Ubisoft).

We definitely have, I picked up 6 games last year during one once I knew I was picking up an XB1.

Yes. I remember doing a B2G1 shortly after signing up for GCU last year.

I'm showing Metro Redux at $12.50? Still a good deal though.

For the 4 people that don't own Bastion on one platform or another, $6 for the PS4 version sounds like a steal.

And even if it's a PS3 game, MotorStorm Apocalypse for $2.25 makes for a fun night.

I'm a little disappointed that there are no discounts on The Vanishing of Ethan Carter or SOMA.

No, you should have passed on that dumb Godzilla game altogether.
It was $15.99 with GCU this past week as a DoTD, but I still passed on it.

Yeah, my mistake there. Will fix my post. And yes, it's a great deal still.

Eh, it's fine. I don't really regret getting it. Still. Glad I didn't know about the DotD I missed!

Grabbed Rapture. Anyone play White Night or know much about it? Looks pretty intriguing. Price is right.

Badland is one of those so simple but so addicting games. The co-op is a blast.

This IGN review commentary talked me out of it.

I picked up Metro Redux, Don't Starve, Bastion, and Everyone's Gone to the Rapture. 4 games (well, 5 technically) for $31. Not bad.

No one will buy it, but The Bureau : Xcom Declassified is easily one of the most underrated games I have ever played. It is Mass Effect set in the 50's...the combat is a direct rip of Mass Effect, and while the story is not as good, it is fun. Especially on the hardest setting, it is easily worth 4 bucks.

Four bucks? I dunno...

Re: Official PSN Games Thread

Alright fox, you sold me. Bought it with 10 minutes left in the sale.

If I get up to $60 spent by Nov 1, I'll just pre-order Ratchet & Clank and get that $15 back. Seems likely I'll hit that mark, especially with that $10 Zen Pinball Animation Domination pack coming tomorrow.

Thanks for the info. I haven't liked the normal Xcom games, so knowing that this is closer to Mass Effect makes me interested.

You might want to check your email today. I (and others on CAG) just got an email from Paypal :

https://www.cheapassgamer.com/upload...1445689388.jpg

So it seems this counts as $60 spent, but would only cost you $50 and would therefor count as $60 of the $100 you need to spend by Nov 3 to get $15 back from PSN.

It makes buying a single game digitally a pretty good deal (especially one without a pre-order credit from Best Buy like Uncharted 4 or Just Cause 3).

Looks like there's a halloween sale going on. Mostly crap, but looks like Grim Fandango for $6, I think that's a good deal?

Re: Official PSN Games Thread

I think so. It's a cool old adventure game and it's Cross-Buy, Cross-Play with the Vita. Not really all that remastered, but it's fun to play an Oldie but Goodie sometimes. Still looks nice enough.

I wouldn't be shocked to see it go free one of these days though.
