So I played a bit of the PS+ freebies this weekend...

Steamworld Dig is awesome. Period. Very old school mechanics with a few modern twists, and I love the aesthetic and music.

Binding of Isaac has a terrible offputting aesthetic, but holy shit is the gameplay interesting! It's basically a twin stick Zelda with very short random levels, and the multitude of random up/downgrades makes the game fresh every time. It's all very bite sized, and I'd call it a palette cleanser if it weren't for all the grossness. Great game, and I'd love a version with less religion, poop and child abuse.

Both are cross-buy with Vita, and both are great handheld games.

I wish Luftrausers was cross buy as well.

Yeah, Steamworld Dig is a great game. My son really likes it.

I still haven't tried Binding of Isaac. Don't know if I ever will. Doesn't look like my kinda game.

You'd like it Decker. It's a very bite sized roguelike with an oldschool Zelda layout and gameplay.

I hate the aesthetic, but still love the game FWIW, and I'm not even a huge fan of roguelikes.

Looks like I'll finally get to try Deadly Premonition

While I'm thrilled people get Deadly Premonition... holy god the PS3 version is terrible.

The only one I'm really excited for is Injustice.
