Spring Fever 2015: 8 Weeks, 8 New PS4 Games, PS Plus Discounts
+ Posted by Chieh Chen on Feb 26, 2015 // Digital Distribution Manager, Sony Network Entertainment
Hi everyone! March is here, and that means it’s time for our annual Spring Fever promotion with discounts for PlayStation Plus members on hot new digital-only games each week. This year, Spring Fever is going to last eight weeks – that’s twice as long as last year – with new PS4 games launching each week.
Spring Fever 2015
Over the next two months, we’re shining a light on some of the most unique titles coming to PS4 from incredibly talented developers and discounting their games for PS Plus members during each game’s launch week. And if you haven’t made the jump to PS4 yet, don’t fret – a number of these games are also launching on PS3 and/or PS Vita as well.
Spring Fever kicks off next Tuesday, March 3rd with the launch of Helldivers from Arrowhead Game Studios. It’s a hardcore twin stick shooter perfect for four-player co-op madness. PS Plus members can pick up Helldivers next week at a sweet 10 percent discount. Here’s the full Spring Fever lineup:

I think they pulled Zero Escape from the sale for some reason...

This has been a weird month. Nothing has been announced yet. Apparently they're still "finailizing" the deals. Normally we find out by the day after the last Tuesday of the month, but we're a couple of days past that already. I keep checking though...
One thing we know : It won't include Helldivers, as discostu correctly predicted a few weeks ago.

That would definitely be a surprise.
I wonder if maybe it's one of those day-one indie games, and it didn't meet certification in time.

Re: Official PSN Games Thread
Lots of broken games last year on all platforms. I wonder if Xbox-only guys might find their own.
Anyway, I don't think Driveclub in any form is any kind of ready for that kind of wide release. But oddly, everything I've heard about that game post launch window has been extremely positive, so I'm looking forward to checking it out at some point.
I don't even have speculation of what the PS+ games might be, but I guess I'd like to see one of the retail launch games like Black Flag, Knack or Lego Marvel. And there are a bunch of indie titles that have been announced but that we haven't heard much about in a while. The one that has my interest the most peaked is Galak-Z.

I always assumed we'd see Octodad by now for free. It's probably one they're keeping in their back pocket for a down month.

Re: Official PSN Games Thread
Has anyone else had any trouble logging into the web store recently? I tried last night and early this morning, and both times it was saying "Login Failed". I know the password I was using is correct because I was able to login to PSN on the web using the same password, but not the store (also tried giving a different password and it gave me a different error when the password was wrong).
I had let my PS+ subscription lapse for most of February, but I just added a new card that I got for my birthday and am trying to lock down the February freebies before they're gone. I was able to get Thief and Yakuza 4 thru my PS3 last night, but I still don't have a PS4, so the web is my only option for locking those down. I don't remember if there were any free Vita games this month, but if there were, I didn't see those in the PS3 store either.

Regarding Drive Club - I seem to be the only one here that plays it now, and I think it's great - far and away better and practically a different game than the one that was originally released (they need to re-review the game now and update their reviews). You really don't need to wait for a free version, as for $40, you're already getting a lot and one of (if not THE) best driving/racing games on the market.

It's weird, because they're posting stuff on the PS Blog even in the past 15 minutes. I guess we're getting a surprise tomorrow, and you can either chalk it up to some kind of planned megaton for GDC or gross incompetence. With Sony, you can usually count on the latter.

Since I already own both games, that seems to make the most sense.

Still loving the hell out of Rogue Legacy. Beat my second boss the other night. Around a level 95.

Yeah, it's a damn fun game. I'm still on the first boss. I think I'm around level 40. When did you attempt the first boss? Also, did you unlock/upgrade the castle gold gain perk? Mine is unlocked but the next upgrade costs 3500 gold. The most I've been able to accumulate is 1500. I think each time you buy a castle upgrade, it increases the cost of all the available upgrades you haven't purchased yet. Makes me wish I would have upgraded gold gain earlier.

Yep, the raising of cost of all other upgrades with each purchase gets on my nerves. Also, there is no surefire way of getting gold so you can find yourself in a losing battle when trying to get to some of the more expensive purchases.

Re: Official PSN Games Thread
Yeah, the gold upgrade is the first thing I tried to level up, so every time I had enough to upgrade it, I did. It only gives you 1g extra per coin, but it adds up over the long run. I maxed it out already. I also have a couple Runes equipped that give a gold bonus and unless I know I'm tackling a boss, I'll take the Spelunker every time(usually won't be a long run, typically long enough to get into every castle room and venture into the forest a bit). Right now I'm getting about 20g per coin for any character, more with the Spelunker.
My last run the other night I managed to get 25k and I had Charon's Obol (get to keep your gold going into the castle). I spent most of it, but I still have a couple thousand going into my next run.
All that being said, I haven't had any issues getting gold. There are some runs with fewer chests but nothing detrimental. I usually net enough to upgrade something. I'm more annoyed by regular chests that are trapped on another side of a wall I can't get to, or "take no damage" challenge ones that have nothing but a floor of spikes and no platforms for you to get to them.
Oh, and as for the first boss, I don't remember the level, but just watch for when you have a Barbarian King/Queen or Shinobi. They're super powerful and usually have higher health. I think I tackled the first boss with a character that had a 300-400 health meter(second was 500-600). I also had some runes/equipment with Vampirism equipped so I'd gain health when giving damage/killing things.
