No way that plastic boomerang is worth $37 to me.

Sorry, but what's the ECA??

I finally picked up a PS3 last month. Been playing Burnout Paradise.
I'm getting Madden 10 and the Batman demo rocked last night.

I think I need to know how to get any possible discounts...

Also with GS's Scarecrow level.. is this just a password that unlocks (which will be all over the net) or is it a DLC?

Thankz joining right now. The discount alone is worth it let alone the content.

Just orders Batman AA ps3 and canceled & re-ordered madden 10 ps3.

thankz again.

Maybe I just missed something but this ECA needs to be plugged/advertised better.
They would get more members & we get more discounts.. I could have saved $20+ if I would have known about this a few months earlier.

Re: Batman - Arkham Asylum

Played the demo over the weekend. Loved it. One of the few demos that I played to completion and wanted more.

I don't get the whining about the graphics. The graphics looked great, and detective mode where you see the baddies skeletons was impressive. I like the fact that you have multiple ways to approach a situation. You can't just run in and kick ass.

I really like the storyline premise. This could make a great Batman movie. Voice acting is top notch. Is it just me or does Joker sound like Roger Rabbit? lol

My only concern is that this game will be really short, like 4 hours.

Based on what? Or is that just a guess?

The Demo was awesome, from the graphics, character designs, the audio, controls, gameplay was very fun. I cant wait for this game.

Looks like we got two really good licensed games this summer, Ghostbusters and Batman.

Well you did say summer originally, and since Wolverine came out in the spring, your original statement still stands!!!

Re: Batman - Arkham Asylum

The Invisible Walls games were complaining that the combat was too easy, but I had a blast playing this demo. The developers did a great job of making you feel like a complete and total badass. The whole silent kills/reversal system is just great, and I love swinging on the gargoyles.

Also, I am incredibly impressed with the redesigns of the villains and such, but not more than I am the redesign of Batman himself. It's more subtle but I LOVE how he looks in this game. It's a great mix between the classic look and real world practicality.

I really look forward to unlocking more bat-gadgets. I can imagine how awesome smoke bombs and such will be. I cannot wait.

The only thing that is kind of grating my nerves about this game is the exclusive content. The Gamestop exclusive stages, the PS3 exclusive Joker stuff, the collectors edition crime alley map, and the 360 Killer Croc stuff (supposedly)? C'mon, can I just buy the game? Damn. I hope eventually this is all DLC.

really good?
i would have to disagree with you on that.
its a lot better than the vast majority of movie adaptions, but i would not call it great. more like OK.

Re: Batman - Arkham Asylum

I tried the demo this morning and it looks pretty awesome. Great atmosphere, and the gameplay seemed solid. Not sure if I want to spend $50+ on this, but if I can get it for cheap it's a definite buy for me some time down the line.

Here is the CAG pic someone else mentioned of the batarang:

This makes me change my mind to getting the regular version. I assumed the batarang would be able to be removed from it's stand.

Very disappointed with it (batarang), though not surprised.

I was hoping to use the Batarang to take out people at night, using my night vision goggles from the Modern Warfare 2 deal.....shucks.

Re: Batman - Arkham Asylum

I played the demo last night, I really want to like this game, but the camera angle with bats always way to the left of the screen is making me insane and ruins the game for me.
I guess this didn't bother anyone else. Is there anyway to change it so that he is in the center of the screen? Are there alternate camera angles?

It bothered me. Batman moved way too slow for more liking. It really looks like they put a lot into the game but I couldn't get into it.

You guys know that there's a run button, right? The camera also centers on him and zooms out when he's running.
