Just show your wife Watchmen. Then tell her that if
had a Batarang handy that scene would have played out differently.

Someone on CAG put up pics of the SE from E3. I guess the Batarang is plastic, so that's a little disappointing. I still don't know which way to go -- I have both versions preordered for now. No way I'd buy at $100, but at $82 it's still tempting.

Must... resist... looking at previews... hope... game... comes out soon...
Seriously, every time I see this thread bumped, my first question is: "So what caused a delay this time?"

Also, this game really looks like it might be something special. Its a shame I will not preorder it for the 360, because they seemed fit to have the Joker available for ONLY the PS3 version. There has been no announcement for a 360 character, like they did with Soul Caliber, so I will be buying this game used so that the people who made the game will see no money.
What makes them think it is OK to piss off ps3 fans or 360 fans by doing something like this?

Re: Batman - Arkham Asylum
It's 1 stupid challenge room with the Joker, no big deal. Buy the 360 version and be happy with it. Or DL the Joker a month later since it will most likely hit the marketplace.

Apparently, Eidos will allow publishers to break the review embargo provided they give the game a 9.0 or better. It seems those asshats didn't learn anything from the Kane and Lynch fiasco.
I want this game to be good, I really do. I remain extremely skeptical...
...and I await DVDTalk's glowing review.

When a game developer or Microsoft (or both) puts up a middle finger at 360 owners, even if that finger just twitches a bit, and is barley noticeable, I twitch back, even if the 10-15 bucks the game developer loses, and the 5-8 bucks Microsoft loses from me is an even smaller twitch of the middle finger to them.
That being said, this game looks amazing and is REALLY close to being a Day one purchase. To bad.....as if they REALLY care I am not buying this day one...but I MIGHT not be the only one.

Re: Batman - Arkham Asylum
I doubt the Joker challenge map will be on Xbox anytime soon...Sony is working with DC comic projects and even publishing DC Universe Online so they're likely getting some bonus for the promotion of it.
Sony deserves to get an exclusive DLC since XBL got GTA IV DLC and even Fallout 3 DLC 6 months before PS3...nobody complains then but when Sony gets something there's a riot.

Really? I saw a LOT of complaints from PS3 owners. Nobody complains? There were hundreds of threads closed, sometimes 10 a day, at the Fallout 3 forum about the PS3 not getting DLC. No one complains??????????????????????????????????????

Re: Batman - Arkham Asylum
It is not just the "stupid" challenge room and the Joker that is keeping me from buying it. By waiting just a bit, I will also be saving 10-20 bucks at least, and still get to play the game. The "stupid" challenge room is just the icing on the cake that will ultimately save me money. I am already picky when it comes to day one purchases anyway.

GTAIV
Fallout3
Rock Band
Orange Box
...all much much much bigger games than this one. So cheer up, and don't take it so personally.

What's specific for Rock Band and Orange Box? As far as I know, the DLC is the same on PS3 for Rock Band and there is ZERO DLC for Orange Box.

True, and if I owned a PS3, I would have waited to get Fallout 3 until the Game of the Year version...nothing wrong with that. Fallout 3 also happens to be my favorite game on this generation of systems.

Re: Batman - Arkham Asylum
Rock Band 2 was released early, promotional DLC has been 360 only a couple of times (Disturbed comes to mind), and 360 is getting an exclusive song on Beatles.
