I agree. If the cashier isn't trained to read a simple coupon, that's on the store. If a 'sketchy' coupon(non-fraudulent one) works in my favor, great. If not, no skin off my back, it was worth a shot.

What's easier, deleting the code from their system and not letting anyone use it, or implementing unique codes and registered users?

I doubt any of us here that used the coupon got it "legitimately" (as in we were the intended audience) but rather got forwarded the link to get it. It was available on their website, but I still haven't heard of anyone actually getting it from some Target promotion. I'm sure the next time they do this they'll have some program that only lets you print it one time.

Unless they have a unique identifier on the coupon what good is that as you could just copy it multiple times.

I don't disagree. But they're treating the symptoms, not the cause. It isn't like this is restricted to these coupons. I use Target web coupons constantly.

I bought 6 packs of Meatball & Mozz Lean Pockets for $1.86 on clearance a week or so ago and used 6 $1 off coupons. Easy lunches.

But they encourage that by a) allowing the system to accept multiple and b) not specifying on the coupon one-per-transaction.

Yea! My fourth 360 is now on its way back to me.

I've got some catching up to do with DLC. Geo Wars, Braid, Go Go Breaksteady, GH Virtuoso Pack, Too Human demo and some RB tunes. What else have I missed the past three weeks?

I ended up downloading the Lego Indy demo on my PS3. Wasn't nearly as fun as LSW, but it looked damn pretty in 1080p.

Ah got ya! However, not assuming things were bad which is why I asked, but I have to admit I do not like knowing that I actually received an update. As long as I get it I am good.

Wait, so you are Ocelot? Isn't that against forum rules? Or are you saying "got ya" because you're not? I'm confused...

I would say the "got ya" refers to he understands the comment now. This guy is way too coherent to be Ocelot. I mean two or three posts with no mention of a leather couch, life insurance, or how the PS3 has an on/off switch on the back.

No, I am not Ocelot. I have no clue who that person is. The "got ya" was a way of stating "I now understand what you were saying."

Now if I said "Ah you got me" then you would be correct. I guess I was just asking a question that caused a bit of trouble before.

However thanks for the answers though. It at least saves me another hour of "searching" around xbox live.

XBLM generates $240 million in revenue

Posted Aug 6th 2008 1:00PM by Dustin Burg

How much revenue do you think the Xbox Live Marketplace has generated since its launch? $5 million? $50 million? Maybe $100 million? No, it's even higher as Microsoft recently confirmed that some $240 million in XBLM revenue has been made since the Marketplace's launch. Wowzaz!

Gamasutra reports that Microsoft has generated $240 million in XBLM revenue since 2005 with $180 million of that revenue being made in the last 12 months. It was also revealed that games with DLC that releases within a 30 day "sweet spot" see an additional $21 million in retail revenue. Feel the cash generating power of the XBLM and Xbox Live subscribers' drunken Microsoft points spending rituals. Drunken MS point spending that accounts for an estimated 40% of all XBLM purchases*.

*Drunken XBLM purchase statistics are totally made up, but are based on personal and witnessed experiences.

I wonder how much of that is Rock Band DLC?

Boom Blox may explode on a 360 near you

Posted Aug 6th 2008 11:30AM by Dustin Burg

Here's an interesting rumor. EA (and Steven Spielberg's) critically acclaimed Boom Blox that's exclusive to the Nintendo Wii may be headed to other platforms in the near future. How do we know? Well, Mr. EA president John Riccitiello directly hinted to MTV Multiplayer that Boom Blox will be going multi-platform. "Frankly, its [Boom Blox] original design was all about the control of the [Wii] wand. But there are other ways to implement that" Riccitiello said, mentioning that "I expect you'll see it on other platforms in time."

Maybe one day we'll be able to build and destroy our very own Valhalla creation on the 360. The possibilities are endless ...

"other ways to implement that" like Microsoft's own super-secret motion sensing user interface

Is this a good deal? ($300 for an elite) I don't know since I'm not in the market for one, and got this link from a co-worker. If not I'll delete my post.

That is a great deal! Although, I'm not sure why a computer company like dell is selling game consoles.

That is a ridiculously good deal, and most likely a misprice. Total cost of all that stuff normally is closer to about $500. The system alone retails for $450 (right now). I would jump on it before they change the price.

I would've definitely jumped on that deal if I didn't just buy an Elite for about $290 new on Ebay after that Microsoft cash back deal.

Thank you rabbit77, I just purchased one.

I tried to get my Disney discount with Dell, but that only applies to computers!

This will replace my 20GB model which I've had for 3 years now. I should be set with the XBox now until the new model comes out in 2012 or so.

A question regarding my old one, do I just delete all of my ID's, games, etc and then I can sell it? I can then use my same mrpayroll ID on the new XBox and download the programs I have paid for without any problems?

How does this work?

Thanx once again, Chris

Anyone having graphics problems after the recent update? I just did the update and my Geometry Wars 2 graphics look like shit. Strange pixel ghosting all over the place.
