Why does mrpayroll have a # sign in his post, but L&O's post has a quote with a "not equal to" sign instead?

Ah a new one.

Has there been any word if we'll be able to rip the games in the fall to the External HD?

Video: Netflix on the Xbox 360 demoed
Posted Jul 21st 2008 5:00PM by Dustin Burg

Curious to see how Netflix on the Xbox 360 works? If so, check out one of Major Nelson's latest Inside Xbox video features showing off the new movie watching functionality. Watch in awe at the seamless integration between the 360's dashboard and the Netflix.com queue, as standard defintion video enjoyment is streamed to the console in quite a technologically interesting process. View the vid and make sure you have a Netflix account come this Fall, because after viewing this demo, you'll more than likely be interested.
Click the link to see the demo.

Now they just need to get a few more flicks/tv shows to choose from. I did notice 30 Rock is instant so I added that for when this goes live.

If you take a # and put it in italics, it looks like this: #.

Theres actually alot of good stuff up now, Atleast alot more then when they launched, I hope one day we get new releases too, and 5.1 audio and HD support.

It's hard to complain about a basically free service for certain people but, the video quality is only as good as VHS. Now that most of us are used to HD quality video, how many of us are really going to take two steps backwards and watch a service like this on a regular basis? I still think we are at least 5 years away from instant on-demand HD video and it can't come soon enough.

Mine went all wonky yesterday with the only slightly less dreaded unreadable disc error. It would have been a year old in Sept. It makes me want to start buying games for my PS3 instead but, warts and all, I've become very attached to the 360 interface and controller and don't feel like switching. And here's the best part -- my wife works at M$ but she gets no special treatment and must send the 360 off just like everyone else. What's the point of working for the evil empire if you don't get any evil perks?

Personally I'd just use it for tv shows. I love my HD but comedies aren't especially demanding and are fine in SD. Anything else that has a Blu option remains in the queue.

I'd love to use the service, but without HD options, its useless to me. As soon as HD is offered, I'll be all over it.

Wow. You guys are a jinx. Mine died at lunch today. This is my third, so I'll be going on my fourth console. This one lasted longer than the first two. This one was manufactured in Oct. 06.

Was it RRoD? I think if mine dies again all just buy a new one that I know was manufactured in the last few months.
