I'm definitely late to the party with a lot of this Live Arcade stuff, but man have I been impressed with Castle Crashers and Braid. Worth owning the console just for those. Braid I wasn't liking a lot during World 3, but I came around during the puzzles in 4,5 and 6 and that mind blowing ending. I have spent hours thinking about it. Now I found out there are hidden stars so I guess I start it over and play again.
I'm also enjoying old games like Crackdown and Forza 2 I had only got to play briefly before. My only 360 dissapointment so far is Too Human. I really, really want to like this game. I love the look and art style, the voice acting and basically everything but the gameplay which to me is some of the worst I have stuck with for 7 hours. The game just never stops being repetitive. I finally gave up in act 3. I'm tired of guns that don't target correctly and tired of waves of the same enemies over and over. The weird thing is I love Diablo II, but this game just doesn't click with me.
I'm trying to decide on an RPG to try. Is Blue Dragon worth a playthrough at its current low price? I know it had flaws, but maybe its worth it for a budget title.

B2G1F at Gamestop tomorrow w/out a coupon. You could get it really cheap. A couple on here mentioned it was pretty good. I have it but have yet to play it myself.

If you plan to pick up blue dragon, check your local Toys R Us. I was able to get the game there for only $10!

Live.com has a 30% cashback coupon for ebay going right now. Check the Hot Deals forum. You could probably snag one for about $70.

Of course, I never know if some of the puzzle pieces are ones I should be getting now or should be coming back for later.

Unrelated: I got my 20gb refurb HDD from MS last night as part of the Arcade upgrade deal. 6gb+ on system stuff? I thought all the system stuff was...on the system. The HDD should just be straight storage?

How many of you guys have 2 (or more) 360s? I'm moving soon, and will have a dedicated HT room in addition to my "normal" setup in the living room. For starters, I'm not sure if I'll want to game in my HT room - is playing games on a 100"+ screen going to make me sick, or is it just going to be that much better?
If I do use a 360 down there, I'll want another for my living room. What would be the best way to move save files back and forth? And I'm assuming I can have all my DLC on both, but will only be able to use it when I'm logged in to that system?

Your profile can only exist in one place at once.
Either move the HDD back and forth or put the profile and saves on a Memory Unit and move that.
DLC will require online connection on the 360 you didn't buy it on.

That's one thing I still don't get. If your gamertag can only exist in one location at a time you shouldn't need a connection. It should be able to just see your gamertag and allow you to use the content, online or offline.

Any idea off the top of your head how big the profile and some of the save files are, generally?
#792
Game saves vary based on game, but they're typically very small. Like < 100KB.
#793
Thanks...so you think a 64mb unit would be fine? I don't play a ton of different games anyhow.
#794
Check your profile size. Go to the System Blade -> Memory -> HDD -> Profiles.

I figured as much, just wasn't sure how much of an issue motion sickness or that sort of thing was when gaming on a big screen. I guess I'll cross that bridge when I come to it.

if you arent prone to motion sickness, the larger screen wont induce it.
* with the possible exception of a DLP or something that might feel different on different sized screens. But if you're talking about a projector, the refresh rate is the same no matter how far you throw the light.

I received an e-mail this morning from Black Friday Ads.net
They may already be sold out, but here it is.
edited to add: I'm not sure if these links contain referrals or not.

They may already be sold out, but here it is.
Dell has the Microsoft Xbox 360 Arcade Holiday Bundle (
http://bfads.net/Link/373 ) for $169.99 when you use the $30 Off
coupon: NC383L9N3B4M45. This bundle includes SEGA Superstars Tennis
Game and 5 Xbox Live Arcade Games.
You can also get the Microsoft Xbox 360 Elite Holiday Bundle (
http://bfads.net/Link/374 ) for $329.99 when you use the $70 Off
coupon: 9VZC3829M7GXC9. This bundle includes Kung Fu Panda and LEGO
Indiana Jones Games along with a 120GB Hard-Drive.
Please note that these are two different codes and only work on their
respective consoles. If it says that the console is out of stock, add
it to your cart as you normally would and your console should ship
when they are next available. With a hot item like the Xbox 360, Dell
should be receiving shipments very often.
A comparison of the three types of Xbox consoles (Arcade, Regular and
Elite) is available here: ( http://bfads.net/Link/390 )
I'd also recommend adding the Xbox 360 Limited Edition Red Accessory
Kit ( http://bfads.net/Link/386 ) for $51.24 from Buy.com so that you
have 2 controllers and a Play & Charge Kit. It includes the Red
Wireless Controller and Play & Charge Kit.
I would also consider purchasing the Arcade console and "upgrading it"
to an Elite by doing the following:
1. Send in for the $29.99 20GB Hard-Drive Upgrade from Microsoft. (
http://bfads.net/Link/392 )
2. Purchase a $8.50 Xbox 360 HD Video Cable (includes HDMI out) from
MonoPrice. ( http://bfads.net/Link/389 )
3. Purchase a $17.99 Xbox 360 Headset Communicator from Amazon. (
http://bfads.net/Link/387 )
4. Purchase an appropriate length of network cable for under $5 at
MonoPrice ( http://bfads.net/Link/391 ). Do not buy network cable at
retail stores, they'll charge you $20 for a 6' cable that you can get
at MonoPrice for $1 + shipping.
You now have a hard-drive, HD video cable, network cable and headset
for an added cost of $56.49 + ~$10 shipping = $65. $169.99 + $65 =
$234.99, roughly $100 cheaper than the Elite. The only draw-back is
that you will not get the 2 games and you lose about 100GB in
hard-drive space.
