When I watch the kill replay from their point of view all I see is me starting to turn and look at them and them blasting me -- my shots never even register. What fun.

The best part of playing multiplayer in this game is there's always someone with a pot related name to kill. At least on PS3.

The weapons on this game are just frustrating. I swear I can dump five shots into someone and somehow they cap me with one bullet. The rifles are just awful.

I was using a rifle (SVT? i think) for a while and switched out to an MP40 at someone else's suggestion. I swear it took me forever to meet the challenges for the rifle and I had the MP40 done in no time. The people who run around with bolt action rifles have my respect.

Also I have avoided tanks for a while because it seems like you are just a huge slow moving target but yesterday I decided to jump in one and pretty much had my way with the other team. I guess a lot of people don't know how to destroy them? I usually just throw a couple satchel charges on the back and they're done. I ended up calling in artillery and dogs as I just slowly rolled around blasting things.

Use the rifles on the big levels. They take a little practice, but I've grown to love them. I've given up on the bolt actions.

It seems that the glitching is getting worse.

I've gone back to COD4. The new maps in WAR are nice. But the weapons are just too infuriating. Love the tanks though.

Still unsure if I am going to get this game or not. It's a toss up between this and Fallout 3.

Yeah, I know I am bit behind on the games

yeah i tend to follow the gun patterns you listed. smaller levels are mp40 all the way and bigger levels are stg44 or sniper. it really just depends on how i want to play the level, whether in stealth or all out killing. anyone that needs another player, i'm down to play. I mostly play hq, tdm, sabotage, or domination. feel free to send me an invite.

Re: Call of Duty: World at War

My 8 year old showed me a hidden 'easter egg' of sorts. It lets you use the alien blaster/ray gun in campaign mode. It's on the beginning of the second level, you have to crouch in a couple of puddles and these tiki statues popup and you get the ray gun. If anyone wants to see it in action, shoot me an invite if you see me on and I'll show you how to get it.

I saw the ray gun thing on youtube, pretty cool.

Unlike CoD4 (I never prestiged, but have all the gold guns without boosting), I'll continue to prestige in WaW... so 2XP weekends certainly help.

If you don't prestige, what's the benefit / trade-off? I'm at level 65 now and it says my next level is Prestige 1.

It's Mercenary Team Deathmatch. (No teams/clans) It's on the main page with the all the other game types.

Re: Call of Duty: World at War

Just started playing this, pretty enjoyable campaign so ...fuck, GRENADE!... far, it isn't ...GRENADE!!... bad at all comp ..GRENADE!... ared to Call of Duty 3. I mean the AI team members are still ...GRENADE!... dumb and in the wa ...GRENADE.. y but otherwise this game has very few ...GRENADE!!... problems generally speaking. There was another really annoying ...GRENADE!!.. thing that is escaping me right ...GRENADE!!.. now, though I'm sure it'll come back as ..GRENADE!!.. soon as I turn ..GRENADE!!.. it back on.

Re: Call of Duty: World at War

Why does this game make you upgrade to the new 360 interface? The inlaws bought this for their 360 arcade and it wouldn't play till I updated the interface.

I tried out their copy of this game and I died 6 times on the first mission on easy by getting blown up by grenades. I'm not used to looking for a grenade icon and did not expect easy mode to have this many grenades!

Zombie mode was interesting but it doesn't seem like you can level up by playing it. Is that correct? I think I'd rather be playing Horde.

It does get to a point where I don't have to throw my grenades anymore since I'm tossing back so many.

When I blink or close my eyes, I see the Grenade danger indicator in the middle of my field of vision ... retinal burn-in.

All of my dreams now have it too, apparently this is some sort of upgrade. Though I have yet to actually have a grenade in any dream.

I think it's because of the new party system

Re: Call of Duty: World at War

I'm just about done with this game. Until they fix the glitches where I have someone sniping me from forty feet mid-air, I'm putting it back in the case.

I was going to do that, but then I just enjoy knocking them out of the air as soon as they start floating upward. I just love this game too much, I kick a lot of ass at it.

Exactly. The Outskirts glitch is annoying. Just have to remember where it is and you'll get to nail the morons who keep trying to go up there. The roof on Castle is another fun one since they're right out in the open. On the plus side it looks like they fixed the inside the rock glitch on Makin.
