Im playing the exact same games over and over and want to buy something new, i own COD3 on my ps2 so if COD3/ps3 is different to the ps2 version then i'll buy it.

I really really would like to see 'Call of Duty: Urban Warfare', ie: SWAT type stuff. Not another WWII shooter...

COD works well without vehicle, if I want vehicle I will play Battlefield bad company or something. This was pretty lousy news.

I cant believe they are going back to world war 2. Cant they come up with some pretty imaginative missions like there were in COD4? That game had some great single player missions.

Disappointing news...............

and if I wanted to play a ww shooter this fall, I will play Brothers in Arms.
i like this guy because he fuking read my mind....

You signed up for this post?

First, COD 2 is an amazing game and very highly regarded. This can't be disputed.

Second, you don't understand the business concept. Under the COD umbrella, there are two companies making COD games. Treyarch is up next, who is best known for the inferior COD 3. No one, and I mean no one, wants them to touch the modern setting. So, they are going to use the COD 4 engine and set it in a setting that very few games are based on (Pacific).

Your next question is probably why doesn't IW make COD 5 as well? They could, but the development cycles are too long. So, instead, as consumers, we get a COD game every year and now there should not be an COD 3 issues since Treyarch is using the same COD 4 engine.

So what kinda idiot is not knowing what you are talking about.

Where do you get more smoke grenades? I'm playing the flame thrower level (which I hate) and I used up all my smoke grenades....

where do you get more? I'm on the last part and can't get past.

never mind - I watched someone play the "burn em out" video on youtube and I found them... this level is so frustrating on Veteran mode

I'm a history buff, so maybe that's why. The Nazi Zombies thing is icing on the cake.

I do have to give the edge to W@W when it comes to the multi-player maps (or maybe it's because I've grown tired of CoD4's maps), but the WWII weapons almost ruin it for me.

I'm still debating if I want to keep this game. Picked it up during the bestbuy sale last week with an xmas gc. Debating putting the $35 towards xbox live and left 4 dead.

When does it end? I played a little bit but too much glitching, and cheating.

Re: Call of Duty: World at War

my biggest ripe is the spawn points, I can't count how many times I've spawned either right in front of someone or in the middle of someone elses fight

As an elite player, this is BY FAR the biggest issue and is what holds this game back from being a COD 4 equal.

How many times have you spawned in the middle of an artillery strike? It has happened to me many times in WaW but i can't recall a single time that happened in CoD4.

I'm not talking about spawning and then it dropping. I am talking about dying in a strike and respawning directly in the same one.

That happened to me this weekend. The spawn points are awful imo.

I really hope they fix the under the map garbage.
