Mario Sports Mix looks kind of interesting.....
God I feel like I haven't played my Wii in forever....need to break out the Goldeneye soon.

Re: Official Wii thread -Part IX
I'm going to a Mario Sports Mix event this morning in Toronto. I'll let you know what I think of it.
I think it looks interesting as well. I love most of the Mario sports games, so I'm excited to try it.

Re: Official Wii thread -Part IX
The event was fun and the game was quite fun to play against others. However, its controls can be problematic at times.
I rented it last night and played it for a couple of hours. Playing single player makes me wish I was playing against human opponents because the A.I. (at least during early stages) is pathetic. I scored just over 90 goals in the first hockey tournament and only let 2 in. That's over the course of three six minute games.

Perhaps I'm just too much of a skeptic by nature, but I don't think that there is a video game out there that will incite an orgy.

So i"ve been using my wii to watch netflix. Go to watch prision break season 3 and is missing from my queue. I look at netflix on my pc and is still showing as available and shows up on my 360 as well. Anyone else experience this on their wii? It also took off season 4 and some others.

The license must"ve been renewed cause there's no expiration notice on my queues pc and 360. Perhaps the wii is slow to catch up on updates?
And it's playing fine on my pc

Picked up New Carnivals Games and EA Active 2. Anyone else have either of these? Just wondering how much fun Carnival Games is, and if the Active is a good workout.

Re: Official Wii thread -Part IX
I've had the Epic Mickey Collector's Edition in my Amazon cart for a few weeks now, since it was $34.xx, and it has been steadily dropping. I felt like I was playing chicken, waiting for it to keep going further, but it got to $28.88 and I bit the bullet and purchased it. I think this is cheaper than the standard version has even been, so even if I don't end up liking the bonus stuff, I still have the game at a good price. It may end up dropping lower, but I'm happy with $28.88.

Re: Official Wii thread -Part IX
I've been looking for Twilight Princess, but I wanted the Gamecube version since I'd heard it was better than the Wii version. For $20, though, it might be time for me to jump back into the Zelda universe, since the next Zelda title looks like it might never become available for this generation...

Re: Official Wii thread -Part IX
Hi. This might be a bit of a technical question, but I thought I'd ask here first : I just set up a new system in my new house's "man cave" and moved my old system including a Kinect and a Wii (with new TV) into the Family room. I had it all professionally installed. I currently have the Wii's standard cables (video & audio) plugged into my older receiver. (I wanted to use my component video cable, but my receiver doesn't have an input with component video and analog audio). The video signal is then sent through the wall and into the TV via HDMI input. I can't get the video image to be 16:9 despite changing the settings on the Wii. What am I doing wrong here? Is it impossible to display 16:9 unless you directly input into the TV? I can't run the component video cables through the wall -- not a big enough hole. Playing in 4:3 is so last-gen.
