Don't know if it's out yet, but Walmart will have an exclusive light blue colored Wii on Black Friday for $99.99.

I couldnt find the new Zelda thread, but IGN says Skyward Sword the greatest Zelda game ever.

http://wii.ign.com/articles/121/1212220p1.html

Ill have to check and see if my Wii still works.

I'm a couple hours into it so far - and it's Zelda that's for sure

So is there really no official Zelda Skyward Sword thread by the release date? Man, the Wii is dead on this forum!

I was thinking the same thing. Given all the rave reviews I would thing people would be giving it a chance.

I picked up mine with the gold Wiimote and $10 free gift card this morning at BB. Got through the obligatory opening scenes that show you is to play and made it to the first temple.
Controls feel good. The flying can be tricky though.

At least I'm getting some use out of the Wii lol.

Ah, I really want to give this a try. $70 is steep for me right now, and I'm not sure the wife wants to watch me go through a Zelda game. Maybe sometime later...

Re: Official Wii thread -Part IX

I was gonna get it, but they were all sold out of the bundle with the Motion+ that's required to play, and I'm not gonna spend that much extra on a Wii game, especially with games like SkyRim beckoning me.

Stupid move on Nintendo's part for making the bundle so limited. Or maybe a brilliant move, I don't know - all I know is that it kept me from buying it.

Re: Official Wii thread -Part IX

I didn't either. I don't have Wii Motion+ so I was going to get a bundle if I got Zelda. I know I feel like I want to play it, but that's a barrier to entry for me. Well, and hooking the Wii back up...

Re: Official Wii thread -Part IX

I already had Motion+ but I liked te gold controller, plus it's less bulky than using a launch Wiimote with an adapter.

On it's last legs for the Wii, Nintendo will release Mario Party 9 on March 11th (US), (April 26th in Japan)

With the dearth of software that was 2011, this year will be an absolute joke for Wii owners.

Rhythm Heaven Fever is in-store tomorrow, right? I never know with Nintendo's weird release dates.

Some today, some tomorrow. If your store got it on the truck, if they have it in the back they can sell it to you.

I just got back from picking up my order at BB (the $5 pre-order price mistake from back in November) on my lunch break. I didn't get the "your item is ready for pick up" email though. I had a couple Blu-rays I ordered and I got the email for those this morning. I went to pick those up and while I was there I just asked to see if they had this game for me. They didn't have it pulled, it wasn't on the floor yet, but they called back to the warehouse and had someone pull it for me. They said they didn't have hardly any of them as well.

So flat out ask if they can check the back at least.

If you guys want it, I'd try and find it ASAP just to be on the safe side.

I checked Best Buy's online stock thing, and the one near me supposedly has it. Guess I'll try in-store pickup and see what happens.

Re: Official Wii thread -Part IX

I got up this morning, and the blue light on our Wii was staring at me (it always creeps me out). Hoping it was a Netflix channel update (it was; haven't tested it yet, though), I also saw that there is now a Hulu Plus channel available. We're thinking of cutting back our cable plan, so that was great to see. I may even sign up for a Hulu Plus trial to check it out.

I guess the Wii is still showing some signs of life...

I have all of the other ones... so I guess I'll have to get this one too.

MDK 2 was released on WiiWare almost a year ago? How did I not hear about this?
