I got 30 mins into the first one many moons ago and have been itching to get back to it.

Thanks for the heads up.

I love having the Wavebird wireless controller to use for all my games on VC and Gamecube games. Would love to snag a few more.

I can't stand the Wavebird for VC games since the buttons are all out of whack.

Re: Official Wii thread -Part IX

I have a question. My nephew has had to Wii's break. The first one scratched the disks and was replaced with a new one. That one will not load any disks inserted in the drive. The Wii works find until you try to fire up a disk. I tried cleaning the disks, but they look scratch free and still will not load. Do you think he is doing something wrong or is is just bad luck? He is around 7 and I do think he does take breaks where he leaves the Wii while away or puts it on pause.

Re: Official Wii thread -Part IX

My wife just kind of surprised me with a Wii for Christmas, and I'm wondering what the best, most economical way to go about getting a second controller would be. For now it'll be just us playing the games, and I'm wondering if there are any recommended bundle packs that have a controller included with them. I've seen a couple of the Wii Sports and Wii Play bundles have it; would that be my best bet?

Definitely WiiPlay for the extra controller.

Then get the Wii Sports Resort bundle w/ 2 WiiMotion Plus units and you'll be good.

Re: Official Wii thread -Part IX

Cool; I'll probably just start out w/ the WiiPlay for the time being and hold off on the Sports Resort bundle. I'll also have to get a classic controller for the VC games.

Thanks for the quick reply!

This just seems more creepier than the one where he shoves it up that things ass

Re: Official Wii thread -Part IX

I'm thinking of buying a DS Lite (used/mint) w/ Zelda: Spirit Tracks included for $100. Is that a good deal? Or should I continue to look around?

Is the battery easy to replace? That's the only thing I can think of that could screw me with buying used.

...I know this isn't the right thread, but the DS thread is kind of hidden and I may be buying this today. Thanks

Here is some exciting news!

EA Sports has acquired the rights from the NBA to deliver an updated version of "NBA Jam" that will ship to retail exclusively for the Wii.

Exclusive to the Wii? I wouldn't mind NBA Jam as a XBLA game, but for the Wii I don't know.

Re: Official Wii thread -Part IX

I'm more curious as to why it's shipping to retail instead of being a VC or WiiWare game.

I'm not a sports guy at all, but even I might buy this game, if only for the nostalgia.

Yeah that is more what I meant. Don't see this as a retail title and also I would want to be able to play it with friends online and that isn't going to happen on Wii.

Re: Official Wii thread -Part IX

Which Resident Evil game is supposed to be awesome with the Nyko handgun accessory? I got RE4
Wii Edition, and it doesn't work with that game at all - unless I'm missing something. The trigger presses the "B" button and the shooting button is the "A" button.

Nintendo has confirmed that MP Trilogy is out-of-print. If you want it and haven't gotten it yet, you should get it soon.

One of my favorite purchases of 2009. If you are at all interested in this sort of game and you don't already have a copy, find one ASAP!

Re: Official Wii thread -Part IX

MP trilogy is still at the BB here, but it's tagged at $50. I guess the $20 price was a sale price?

Re: Official Wii thread -Part IX

Yeah it was a sale price maybe the last week in December, or the second to last week. Then a week or so afterward I picked up "MadWorld" for $9.99.

Re: Official Wii thread -Part IX

Here's a newb Wii question for you. I don't have one, so I have no clue.

My nephew got a Wii for chrismas, but he has no internet connection. Is there anyway for him to get the mario virtual console titles, or is he out of luck?

Re: Official Wii thread -Part IX

Can he take his Wii to a place, like his Uncle's house, that has an internet connection?

Hell, maybe a neighbor that would help him use their wireless connection?

Disc

The Wii's Channel system is designed for this sort of on-demand functionality. It's obvious now that there's some exclusive agreement with Microsoft to force discs on everyone but them.

Re: Official Wii thread -Part IX

Well if everyone's Wii really is collecting dust then leaving a Netflix disc in shouldn't be a problem.
