Looks like some new songs have made their way onto the leaderboards. These will probably show up as DLC within the next week or so.
*dusts off GH3*

Once RB finally starts putting out a couple of albums, my brain would fall out of my skull if we saw Journey's Greatest Hits. In the meantime, I'm just excited to play Journey and Boston on any platform.

The one thing I wish GH would do like RB does is incorporate your DLC into the game so you at least make some cash off of it to spend in the GH store like you can in RB.

Just use the unlock everything cheat code. It'll net you three achievements and you have everything at your disposal.

Er... are you replying to brianluvdvd? Not sure what that has to do with his post.

But I agree, I wish playing some of the downloaded songs nets you cash in career mode.

He said he wanted more cash to buy stuff. Unlocking everything renders cash a moot point. You don't have to buy anything once it's unlocked.

I just prefer to not use cheats if I can help it. I also prefer to gain Xbox achievements by usually earning them by myself (unless it is a co-op achievement and someone helps me. rabbit77 I am talking to you...hint, hint. )

I used the song cheat early in playing of GHIII because I wanted to play all the songs and don't have anyone who could help me unlock them since some are unlocked via a co-op career (which I still think is silly and hope they don't do that again in the future).

Unless you can finish the game on Expert you won't be able to buy everything in the store since you unlock guitars after finishing each difficulty.

I know finishing expert will never happen for me, so I used the code to have access to everything. Achievements were a bonus. I assumed the code would unlock the items to purchase, but it actually purchases everything for you.

Personally that and the unlock songs cheat (for the co-op exclusives), are the first cheat codes I've entered in probably two maybe three generations.

I've got nothing going on this weekend so I should be on after 10pm CST. I'll most likely just be working on the CoP solo.

You or anyone else can feel free to send me an invite anytime I'm on to get the coop achievements.

For GH3:
Enter the following in the cheats menu under options. You must strum every note/chord. NOTE: The letters correspond to colored frets G-Green, R-Red, Y-Yellow, B-Blue, O-Orange

O, B, O, Y, O, B, O, Y Hyperspeed

I don't know of one for RB.

BTW, in case there is someone who jumped on the GH train a little late, GameStop has dropped the price of GHII 360 to $29.99 for the game only.

I assume you mean used. That's what I paid last week for a used copy.

I think I'll wait for Journey to hit RB personally. I think it's better suited to that.

W00t! Took a break from GH3 for a while, and just picked it back up the other day; had been stuck on the Japan stage on Hard for quite a while (the damned Slipknot song). Decided to work on my Expert career, and after getting through a few stages (and wussing out on the Morello battle), I go back and rip through 'Before I Forget', the encore, and both 'One' and 'Number of the Beast'! in the next tier Only 'RB' and 'CoD' left before the big Lou battle. Whew.

A bigger kicker is that the used copy was the only one they had and it is in less than stellar shape. Decent, but not great. What's their return policy on used games? I'd love to return it since it's only been 3-4 days and buy a new copy.

GameStop's policy on used games is 7 days if you don't like it, and 30 days for defects. If you've had it less than a week, you can return it and get your money back, or at least store credit.

I called and found that out last night actually. So I took it in, went through the return process and got my money back. I then ask for a new copy and guess what he fucking hands me. That's right, an open new copy. I called him on it said I wanted one in the shrink wrap but they didn't have any. His partner in crime offered to re-shrinkwrap it on their machine. Not the point you fucking douchebag. So I ended up rebuying the copy I returned at the cheaper used price and I used a coupon.

Essentially I just got the difference back between what I paid and the current used price which was about $6.

God I hate Gamestop.

Michael, it's my understanding that Gamestop does open all of their new games for some reason. I think it's to claim that used games in perfect condition are actually new, even though some are.

Anyway, they suck shit.

Back when I worked at EB I would've put the "new" disc in the used case and sent you on your merry way. That was the best job back in high school.

That's the kicker. He tried to give me a different used disc which looked worse than the one I brought in. So we had the new disc sitting there, the used disc I brought in and a third used disc that he tried to give me. It was annoying but very comical. I just want the best looking disc/case for my money. Plain and simple. Is that too much to ask?

I normally don't have issues at this particular GS, this was a first for me. The other half dozen in the city are run by monkeys though.

Oh well, Gamestop sucks, yada, yada, yada, back to GH talk.
