When I got your invite last night, flair, when I tried joining it said "Server is full." I've never seen that one before...

I haven't had a problem connecting with anyone, odd.

I hadn't played in over a month and I somehow got better. I FC'd a few songs on my side of coop without really thinking about it. Raised a few scores on some. I should probably get back into it.

What the hell is that?

Anyone else have that happen, or am I the only one playing on PS3?

I was prompted for the update today as well. I'm not sure what it did.

From the GH3 forums:

Guitar Hero Community,

Guitar Hero III on the Playstation 3 console has been patched! Below are a few of the changes:

- Improved Online Quick Match results and reduced "Failed To Connect To Server" message

- Introduced calibration screen improvements which in turn help users with high lag AV systems and Dobly Digital enabled systems.

- Added Co-Op Quickplay mode.

- Enabled Hyperspeed to work in online games.

- Include various stability improvements as well as fixes.

I wonder what the chances of them enabling Co-Op Career are. Kinda silly that wasn't in the game to begin with.

I always forget about the extra co-op songs because I'm always in my career setlist.

Master recordings from Warner/Reprise artists Linkin Park, Mastadon and The Used will be available as a downloadable track pack for Activision, Inc.’s (Nasdaq: ATVI) Guitar Hero III: Legends of Rock, during the month of December. Additionally, Activision will offer single song downloads from such popular European bands as Extremoduro, Trust and Die Fantastischen Vier, as well as a free, exclusive rock rendition of the holiday classic “We Three Kings,” recorded by Steve Ouimette. The Warner/Reprise Track Pack, single song downloads, and free holiday classic will be available for the Xbox 360® video game and entertainment system from Microsoft and PLAYSTATION®3 computer entertainment system.

The Warner/Reprise Track Pack includes master recordings of “No More Sorrow,” by Linkin Park, “Sleeping Giant,” by Mastadon and “Pretty Handsome Awkward,” by The Used. The single song downloads offer such popular singles as “So Payaso,” from Extremoduro, “Antisocial” from Trust, and “Ernten Was Wir Säen” from Die Fantastischen Vier.
Nice that they're giving another free track. We'll have to see if they've changed their prices any now that RB is out and actually has more song for less money.

Cool, I've wanted a Xmas song or two. Is it available now? Or Tuesday?

I hope that Ouimette song is a better rendition than his DWDTG :/.

Sad that they couldn't even spell Mastodon's name correctly. I'd definitely buy it if it was for Rock Band, but unless Activision drops the prices I won't bother. That song would be a blast on the drums.

They forgot to add this one to their list:

- Blocked the Harmonix patch that would have allowed our guitar to be used in Rock Band, now bend over and enjoy! Happy holidays from all us asshats here at Activision!

Funny how I asked about new DLC for this game and a few days later we finally get some new info about it....too bad I now won't be buying it since they see fit to punish PS3 owners...

I'll probably pick that pack up. Too bad they aren't taking advantage of Dream Theater month or offering TSO.

Yeah, I'm excited about the new pack. I might pick up the Euopean bands too. I've never heard them, but I like the European bands already in GH3.

I wormed my way into the top 10 in the DVDtalk group. #9 with 2,147 groupies. It kinda helps that everyone has moved on.

Okay, a question for you Hard & Expert players out there.

I just finished the guitar career on both Easy and Medium for GHII & III and am currently finishing the Medium tour on Rock Band on guitar.

Should I go ahead and move to Hard or should I first try to 5 star all the songs on Medium first on these games. I know you get achievements for 5 starring everything on a certain difficulty but I was more worried that if I put the time into that, my fingers may take longer to get used to moving up and down the frets for the hard difficulty. If you get good at Hard, does that make Medium easy a pie? Or would it help my skill level to spend that time 5 starring those before moving onto Hard?

Thanks!

Have they announced when the Linkin Park, Mastodon and the Used pack will be up? Same with We Three Kings. It would be kind of silly to release a Christmas song after Christmas.

I never 5 starred the medium modes on any of them and moved on to Hard/Expert with little problem.

That said, I would start with Hard on Rock Band, it is the easiest of the 3 and the only one to have a more or less "logical" jump from Medium to Hard (it adds an extra button but doesn't go funhouse mirror in every other way).

Don't bother with 5*ing the medium tour. Jump right into hard. You're not going to gain any skill with perfecting medium. I still haven't 5*'ed all the medium songs and I'm in the top 200 in career expert.

I'm terrible at searching previous posts. Does anyone mind summing up the compatibility of the XB360 wireless guitar in GH3?

1. Does the wireless guitar work in GH2?
2. Vice versa... the wired GH2 guitar work in GH3?
3. What about Rock Band for XB360? Rockband's guitar work in GH2/GH3? GH2/GH3's guitar work in RB?

Thank you!

Thank you!
