Here's a tip for you and anyone waiting for the CC sale this weekend.

Go buy the cards you want now. Take them back Sunday to get the price adjusted or return and rebuy them. Don't take for granted that they'll have stock on Sunday for this deal, especially looking at the CAG thread.

I went yesterday to my CC and they only had 1 in the case and 4 in back. I bought 4 of them and told my friend to head to the other Tulsa store and they only had 2 - which he got both of. Now they'll probably get a truck or two between yesterday and Sunday, but I'm not going to assume I'd have been fine waiting until that morning. If they have more then, I'll probably pick up 2 more or try BB on the way home.

Chaining ghosts together is one strategy but I would say the bigger strategy is not dying. You get far more points that way then chasing down ghosts. When the game starts you get 10pts per pellet, as you play, the more you eat, you get 50pts per pellet. If you die, it resets to 10pts each. It also depends on which fruit you are on as to what strategy to implement.

It is far more beneficial to stay the course and eat the dots and only nab ghosts when they are in VERY close range.

As for stringing Power Pellets, do so at the beginning. You can string 6 together for probably 18-20 ghosts without straying too far off your pellet path. After that just eat pellets until you get to the two keys. This generates 6 Power Pellets which allows you to nab 24 ghosts in quick succession for big points. Shortly after this is probably when you will run out of time. However, if you are fast and don't die, there is a second set of keys that pop up a few fruits later. That is the main key to the super high scores. I've only made it there three times and I've never had enough time to use all six.

Lastly, one big tip, split the board down the middle and force yourself to clear a side at a time. Going back and forth wastes a ton of time. Doing it this way it is easy to keep your fruit paired up and maximizes your time. Clear left, right, left, right, etc.

I was in the area at lunch and stopped to check. My CC only had one card. Doesn't bode well for this weekend.

I didn't see it mentioned but I just noticed that there are demos up for Nascar 08(589mb) and The Darkness(1.3gb)

With the reported connection issues people are having with Marketplace today it is very likely people didn't see them. I heard they were out but haven't looked to see if I could download the one yet. I do believe The Darkness had been out but it got pulled so it is nice to see it back.

I couldn't sleep this morning and put in an hour of the Darkness before work and it kept logging me out. I was wondering what the hell was going on. At one point I tried to log back in and the game dumped me back to the menu because of changing accounts in the middle of the game even though it was the same account. Had to restart the level I was doing because of it.

So that is a widespread issue and isn't resolved yet?

anyone know how long the demo is supposed to be? Like, first level only?

I doubt it is a full level. There are only 5 in the game and each one is fairly long. Although ending a demo at the end of Chapter 1 would be a BIG fucking tease. They are all broken up into sub missions, so I bet it will be a couple of those. I also doubt it will be Chapters 2 or 4 either since they deal with the surprise twist of the game.

I wonder how they are demoing the darkness powers. I bet they are all available for the demo, which isn't the case in the game. You unlock them as you play.

I heard a lot of talk about it, but wanted to see if I'd be into it. I generally don't care for FPS games, and then only for multiplayer with friends or online.
