With the new 3 year warranty I wouldn't wait. Although, the Halo 3 special edition is coming out soon, you might want to wait for that one.

I would have bought that if it was more like this color.

I just hope the 4-6 weeks is a cover your ass tactic, I really hope it does not take that long. I have NCAA football to play....damn you MS. Do they really want me to buy stuff for the PS3?

It's funny how the CSR basically say MS is NOT in it for the software. I basically said I was upset in the way I've been treated (since they said they would expedite my process....LIE, and I said I was start going to buy the cross-platform titles for the PS3). The CSR said, "well, MS doesn't really have too many of their own titles out, so that's not a big issue"

I think Pac-Man CE is finally "clicking"... I'm not saying I'm Sith Draven or anything, but I think I got the hang of it.

Ms. Pac is my all time favorite game. Needless to say, I've had plenty of practice.

As long as I'm still ahead of Martin, all is good in the world.

I seem to max out around 250k

I've actually never played any version of Bomberman, except for the 360 retail release, and I thought it was a horrible, horrible game. Should I give this XBLA game a shot?

The retail release has nothing to do with Bomberman.

I liked the comments you left on the Xbox.com forum. Some people left a bunch of whiny messages about how the controls were bad on the game and his response was:

"No problems with the controls at all here. Ranked #41 last night with 323k."

Slyway to say, "No problems, must be a user error."

Except that they basically made this game as good as was possible as a way to atone for that game.
I like it. It's a lot of fun and a nice, social game. A little lag today but not too bad. Good use of the Live Camera as well -- just takes a quick snapshot of you at the end of the game, beaming or bumming depending on the result.

I don't think the controls in Pac-Man: CE itself are bad.. but playing it with an analog stick is definitely crippling.

I don't mean to sound derogatory, but I guess you could sum it up that way. It just blows my mind that people use the digital pad to play when the analog is very responsive, IMO.

Talked my wife into trying out Bomberman with me last night. She loved it. Whoo hoo! I now have that and Boom Boom Rocket that she enjoys. Goes to show you how well designed those old games are that someone new to games can pick up and learn and love in 30 minutes time.

Act Zero was an abomination. Even Hudson admits they are basically ignoring that it ever existed. Definitely give the demo a shot. Bomberman was the Halo of the early 90s with my group of friends. Staying up at all hours trying to best each other on the SNES.

I've NEVER played Bomberman before. I d/l the demo yesterday though and played against 3 other computer opponents. Is the premise simply to blow each other up with your bomb and be the last man standing?

I noticed that certain bricks left power ups. How do you use them? Is the Aracade release meant to be an online game only? Sorry if these are stupid questions.

I hate to drop the controller excuse but the analog, for me, is very, VERY finicky in Pac-Man. Maybe I'm just not adapted to it yet, but I seem to miss turns and end up in the wrong direction far more than I should be, as a seasoned Pac-Man veteran. Pac-Man is definitely a game I need a joystick for, much like shmups. Too bad Microsoft's little controller security is holding up an adapter for my X-Arcade stick.

Yes, blowing up your opponents is the entire premise. The powerups activate the moment you pick them up. It's definitely an mutli-player game, whether you do it on or offline is up to you, the XBLA version supports four offline, eight online.

WTF!!! You're actually ahead of me? Of course it probably took you weeks to get the score that I got in a matter of hours, but I MUST beat your high score

X07 is canceled.

http://xbox360.ign.com/articles/806/806368p1.html

Microsoft has officially confirmed that X07 will not take place this year. "I can confirm that we are not hosting an X0 event this year", a Microsoft spokesman told IGN. "We review how we demonstrate our fantastic games and gaming experiences every year, and this year we have decided to highlight blockbusters like Forza 2, Bioshock, Mass Effect and of course Halo 3 on an individual basis rather than have one large event."

The announcement comes in the wake of the comments made yesterday by Aaron Greenberg, group product manager for Xbox 360 and Xbox Live. Greenberg originally revealed that X07 wouldn't be happening on the Squad XP podcast, stating: "There is not a real X07 this year but I think that we will figure out some way to talk about 2008 some time at a different event or a different type of programme."

Here's hoping that Microsoft has saved some big announcements for GC in Leipzig next month then.

It's all about turning early and anticipating where you are going. Let the sparks fly, that's why they're there. Supposedly turning early gives you a minuscule speed burst around the turn. Also if you notice, early on, there is a very distinct path the dots make so knowing where you are going is fairly easy.

Major Nelson mentioned that a few of the guys at the Championship were playing with the conroller in their left hand and using the analog with their right like an arcade stick. I gave it a whirl. I guess for someone not used a controller it might work, but I couldn't.

I've mainly focused on Championship mode so all my other scores have fallen by the wayside. So just to be a bitch I spent the other night replaying every mode until I was back on top of the leaderboards.
