Apparently the cheat doesn't screw with achievements at all.
I'm pretty sure saving/achievements are locked while the unlock all code is active..

The wired guitar bundle is exclusive to Walmart.

Nope. Also, once you enter the code everything is unlocked for good.

Yeah, apparently quite a bit. I guess the Wii is the only version that doesn't seem to have any issues.

It seems that the problem with Even Flow popped up in the demo for a few folks. I was going to ask about it at scorehero, since I know there are a bunch of discerning players who have put this through its paces, but I'm not really in the mood to be called a pussy by a bunch of 14 year old fanboys for questioning their game.

Does anyone else get any onscreen jitteryness when they activate star power sometimes? This shit is frustratingly annoying.

Save star power until after the ridiculous HO/PO stream, then use it later on. During that fast scale section, I didn't even bother with the green button, I just did the other 4, then strummed at the start of the next one. It's such a horrible song, both in playing and in how it sounds.

To invite someone, just create a game, then hit the X-Box button on your controller to bring up the menu on the left, go to friends, pick the one you want to invite, and it'll have a "send invite" option. It's better to start a private game if you know you'll be playing with someone from your friends list.

My rookie fingers can not take Raining Blood on easy. I have 5 starred every other song and won the battles, but I can't even finish Raining Blood. Tried the career on medium, got through the first 3 tiers with mostly 3 stars. My pinky finger is retarded. Did anyone else have lots of trouble with their pinky finger when they first started playing?

Thanks for the tip - I'll try it that way since I was doing it this way and failing.

I've played GHII here and there, but this is my first GH purchase, and I picked it up for the Wii (purchased only two weeks ago). Not only am I having fun, my fiancee is digging it, and she doesn't play video games. That says something, in my book. Of course, we're both rookies, so I'm on the Easy/Medium levels and she's on the Easy levels, but we're still digging what's essentially new to us. Even Flow and the Santana song are favorites.

Are there any songs that cannot be unlocked via Easy Career or Co-Op Easy Career? If so, what are they?

I'd enter the cheat, but I don't want the achievements to be disabled.

Achievements aren't disabled when you enter the unlock all songs cheat. I have used it to get the co-op songs and have still gotten plenty of achievements after I entered the code. I'm sure there are other cheats that will disable achievements though.

Thanks a bunch! I will be playing all night tonight, so if anyone wants to play my gamertag = flairbear. If you can play expert well I will try to sight read the bass parts. If you play hard or under, I'd rather play guitar if that is ok. I'd prefer coop over anything else.

I breezed through medium and am now doing easy on lefty flip, then I'll go back up to hard...something weird though, I find the hard edge of the Les Paul hurts my right hand but the Xplorer fits perfectly for me (I do have a gut that plays a factor) and the only medium song I didn't 5 star off the bat was Knights of Cydonia and I had to switch from the Les to the Xplorer to do it and then had no problem.

I thought I saw it say it disabled something when that code was on.. Saving, I guess. Nice that it unlocked the co-op exclusive songs for quick play, as some of those are extremely fun!

I was able to test out the new Les Paul I got today. I'm still waiting for my coffin (the optical drive won't read discs, but the console will boot up fine). So - I downloaded the demo and played it from the hard drive. I played like crap, but I can't blame it on broken buttons or a loose strum bar.

Man, flair, you're trying to kill me! What's with picking "Through the Fires and Flames" right after "One"? It's about 1 in 5 that I make it through the first section, and that's without having just done "One"!

Oh that was you? I wondered. I saw you playing TTFATF when I sent the invite, so I thought maybe you had the intro down and we could push through the rest of it. I don't even know why I picked One, that was the second time I've ever played it. Some of those songs are insane to play on bass. It's weird playing the same note for 4 minutes, and difficult!

I'd be down to play later, maybe one song with me playing guitar then three more with me on bass or something? I want to try to 5* cult and am close to nailing the solo.

Oh, and my strap fell off in the middle of one, right when it starts getting good. That sucked!

That would suck if it disabled saving since once you enter the unlock code it unlocks everything for good!

Yeah, I really like Sabatage on Expert, lots of fun.

I just started practicing TTFAF when you sent the invite. If I make it through the intro, I'm good to go. Got to 86% my first time through, was on my 2nd when you sent the invite, but I have a habit of holding down buttons longer than I should, and in a fast section like that, even more so.

As a side note, it looks like my song scores done before Sunday aren't uploaded to the leaderboards. Yet another reason for me not to look at them .

Crap dude, sorry to interrupt. I actually die around 86-87% (of the maybe 5 times I get the intro) on farts and flamers too. I need to give that song more time, but not now. I have only played about 10 songs more than once and I still need to go 5* everything and get a few gold stars (hopefully).

All was going well tonight until I got to the Slash battle...this is the most ridiculously annoying mode they could have put in the game, and to make it mandatory in order to move on is just asinine. I tried it about 10x before calling it quits for the night. The power up things are so completely random, and the only way I could make any headway was to get the certain couple power ups that I could use right before his chance to get power ups came (the whammy one being the best, it seems).

But even then, he would ALWAYS have the right power up available right when I was about to gain one, and use it on me right when I'm on my last star.

The reason I like the GH games so much is because they aren't necessarily challenging if you don't want them to be. I've always played on medium, and can 5* most songs, but I'm not really laboring to get them, and just having fun playing it. These boss battles make it more like "other" video games, where you have to overcome some tedious obstacle to move on. They are fine in a lot of those other games. I don't want them in a guitar game like this. JMHO.

You can move on without defeating the bosses.

You can? I thought it said "defeat boss to move on" or something?
