Those are the biggest determining factors for me. If I'm paying $100 for a guitar and game, I want to be able to play more than that one game. 360 is the only one that has the option to play more than just GHIII with your guitar and offers DLC. If you have a PS2 and don't care about DLC, that may be the way to go since you have 3 previous games in the franchise to fall back on.
- PS3 guitar is NOT compatible with previous games on the PS2
- Wii doesn't have any previous titles in the series to be compatible with
- Xbox 360 IS combatible with GHII, you can play two games with the guitar with the 360
- DLC - The PS2 won't have this ability.

Basically I'm just trying to get more people to get the Wii version so I have people to play with

Having all four systems GHIII comes out on, I can't see the advantage of buying it in anything other than the Xbox 360 format. With the exception that my 360 is being repaired now.

Since I used this game to justify stepping into a new system, I debated the 360 vs. Wii and probably only went 360 due to availability when I decided to buy. I probably would have done Wii if given the choice because I really like the way the guitar is set up for the system.
I have to say, the game is growing on me, and I was already happy with it. I'm getting used to the feel of the new guitar and charts, as well as the HOPO changes. I still think they made some HORRIFIC song choices...I can't really say that enough...but the songs that I love may be my most fun to play of any of the 4 games. I can't stand still during Barracuda and LaGrange, among others. Man, if they had a classic rock only version, I'd probably wet myself.
I'm still a rookie at all this online business, so I'll make sure to share my tag as soon as I go out and fork over another chunk for the wireless network piece. I definitely can't wait for DLC. Speaking of which, does anyone know if the 3 DLC songs that are offered with the CD soundtrack will be available for purchase without getting the CD?

Got thru easy mode on the Wii last night.... is there a list of unlockable songs somewhere?
I was looking forward to Velvet Revolver especially.... it's nowhere to be found so far.

A couple things bug me on the covers. The singer on the Top cover doesnt sound like Billy Gibbons. The guitar is Sunshine of Your Love is too clean. But I'm a nitpicker

So the only way to get the encore co-op songs is to play co-op? I need another guitar....and someone to play with.

(not all that awesome actually but oh well)

I have an established friends list on the 360 and there will be no work involved to hop online and play a song or two.

I went ahead and picked it up for $10 because I'm a sucker for new songs... as long as they're not MCR.

It's jarring to hear what is apparently an 85 year old black guy sing SRV. For all the complaints of the past, Harmonix knew how to get close usually.

I'll look for you online if you want to do some co-op.

The GHII deal that most people jumped on when it came out for the 360 was that Circuit City gave out 1500 microsoft points card with the bundle IIRC. My stupid CC had sold out of the points card when I bought mine so I got it at Target out of spite when they wouldn't provide a rain check.

I just noticed something weird. Is the Even Flow guitar solo almost inaudible or is something wrong? I don't have the problem with any other song, but in both career and in practice you can barely make it out.

Seems like Activision really botched the QC on this game.

I just got back from Wal Mart and they had the game packaged with the Gibson X-Plorer. The price was 89.99. Is this just a Wal Mart deal? I thought I had read they all came with the wireless Les Paul.

Found the cheat to unlock all songs (including those damn Co-op unlockables):
YO RB RO GB RY YO RY RB GY GY YB YB YO YO YB Y R RY R Y O
Apparently the cheat doesn't screw with achievements at all.
