Who's getting Crackdown today?
#127
I picked this up the other day - and I'll be damned it's even more fun than I expected. Some small glitches but overall it's a freaking blast.
I've been concentrating on my explosives for now, and agility comes all the time as I'm jumping and bombing the shit out of people :-) Still have to take out the first boss leader, then I'll move over to the new section.

Sorry if I missed it in the thread, but where is the Firefly located or who do you have to kill to get it? My weapons really suck, I don't make enough drops at the supply points and I'm having trouble with some of the generals.

i got my from the shi-gin(sp) I believe.
Basically, you can tell when they are shooting rockets at you. Just make sure not to blow them up yourself, or the guns seem to disappear for some reason or another

Sounds kinda vague, but once you get into hotbed enemy territory, there are usually a couple of guys using them.

yea, i couldn't tell you exactly where anything is in that game, unless you knew specific landmarks and how to get there.
or, you could cheat like I did for my friend. Have him play a co-op game. Kill like one or two enemies, swap your rocket launcher for one of their crap guns, and have your buddy pick up the launcher and go back to a supply point

This game is really pissing me off in regards to telling me where Bosses are. I've killed 5 of the Volk bosses and have two left. I spend 2 hours last night fucking around all over Volk territory and not once did it update my dossier and tell me where the next boss was. What gives?

Haven't experienced it against the final boss, but 2 or 3 different times during the game it's happened to me, usually it was when there were too many things happening at once on the screen.

I was playing this last night and I was surprised to see some Los Muertes gang members in Volk territory, even though I've killed all the Los Muertes bosses. I guess when I cleaned out their island, the few remaining gang members fled to the other islands.

I got the car juggling achievement last night thanks to the tip someone here posted (you Flay?). Even though all of the gangsters are gone, I'm still having fun exploring the city looking for orbs and trying new stuff.
I *love* this game.

That happened to me too. I stubled upon a Los Muertes vs Volk gun battle. Of course I killed them all.

IGN released an Orb guide with pictures of all 500 agility + 300 hidden. Not sure if it's insider only, but someone at A360P posted it: http://putstuff.putfile.com/51812/9958273

I will have to look at that guide. I have 1 agility orb left to find.
I had 2 last night but managed to find one, luckily. I was in Shai-gen territory and went to the big metal ball. I got up top and there was an orb sitting there. I tried to get it once before when I wasn't 4 * and did not succeed. So I forgot about it and moved on.
I'm pretty sure my other orb is in that part of the city as well. I spent the least amount of time in Shai-gen territory before beating the game because of all the rocket launchers they seemed to favor using.
I also need to find about 68 hidden orbs left to get them all.

I was perusing the achievement list and have a question about the Co-op achievement. Anyone have it yet?
It says to complete all the missions in co-op. How is this done if you have already defeated all the bosses? They don't respawn from what I've read.

Thanks for the firefly tip guys. Last night was great, beat a couple bosses, got to all the supply points, and I'm up to about 350 agility orbs. I'm up to **** agility, *** demolitions, **** strength, *** firearms, ** driving. So did I read it correctly that there's almost no increase going from **** to ***** ratings? If so, I'll ditch the agility orbs for a while and probably concentrate on driving.
That oil rig boss was a BITCH. If you pick off the guards one at a time, does anyone know if they keep respawning if you don't move fast enough?

There is no five star rating. From what the developer said on Major Nelson's podcast is that the number will eventually hit a double dash -- below your stars. That is totally maxed out.
Enemies do respawn if you don't advance. I didn't have a problem with the Oil Rig guy. I typically fire a rocket, throw a grenade, reload and start over. Boss is dead inside of 20 seconds, assuming you don't get hit or fall somewhere.
I'm having issues on two of the Shai-Gen bosses though.

Thanks for the tip.
