Yeah, Calling All Cars is awesome, even against the AI. I'll have to try out multiplayer over the weekend.
Rampart was less impressive. I had the Atari Lynx version back in the day, and even it controlled better than this version. It's hard to move the castle wall pieces precisely, which makes the game unnecessarily difficult. I'll have to give it another shot later on and see if there's any way to adjust the sensitivity.

MLB The Show '07 comes out this week! After playing this game for the first time on the PSP, it's now my second favorite baseball game next to MVP '05.

I'll have to give MLB 07 a shot....I loathed 2K7 at first, but now I really enjoy it (despite a few glaring glitches). Maybe MLB 07 will make me play my PS3 again.
Has anyone seen any reviews yet?

Gamefly has free shipping on used games again... some decent deals, but the standout, at least to me, has to be the 30.99 for a used copy of Virtua Fighter 5:

Well, hopefully the SHOW turns out good.....I'll rent it this week with my free Blockbuster coupons. It would be tough to have two baseball games....
One day I have to move my PS3 to my 55" TV, but my 26" LCD has HDMI. IF I ever get a new TV, then I will move it, and probably play it more.

IGN has their review up for The Show --- it's 7.7
1Up.com wasn't as forgiving. They gave it 5.5/10...
They basically said it's a port of the PS2 game and there are some AI issues (which just destroys a baseball game IMO). Im torn -- I really, really want to get a good next gen baseball game with my AL Champ Tigers in there; but I might just get the PS2 version, save $10 or more, and play it on my PS3.

Mostly all the user impressions of this game over at Operationsports.com have been extremely positive. Also, a majority of them have played the PS2 and PSP versions of the game and they prefer the PS3 version. I don't know what build the reviewers got but both IGN and 1up.com say the AI is flawed. This is from IGN.com:
"Although most of the gameplay of MLB 07 managed to survive the transition from PS2 to PS3, one facet of play isn't as solid as it was on the older system: computerized infield logic suffers from a number of AI flaws that just weren't in the PS2 version. In a number of games we played, we noticed instead of tagging a base during a force play, (especially if the runner hasn't gotten past the baseman) the infielder will more often than not opt to throw to the first baseman, which doesn't make sense. For instance, with one out and runners on first and second, a grounder is sent to the third baseman that's half a foot away from the bag. Instead of trying to turn the 5-4-3 double play or even stepping on third before throwing to another base, the fielder tosses the ball to first, making the inning drag on longer than usual. It doesn't make any sense whatsoever, but for some reason, the AI will pull bush league plays like this, which will make you scream."
None of the people who have played and posted their impressions have experienced this error and they've had this situation presented to them while playing. So, my guess would be SCEA didn't send them a final build of the game for review, which doesn't make sense. Operationsports is a good discussion forum for all sports games and I'll trust the user impressions about this game over IGN and 1up. Going to pick it up tonight on my way home from work.

I'm hoping to get a new TV by the end of the year, so I can have my 360 and PS3 on the same TV. Currently, it's easier to have them separate.

its a relaxing game but also pretty addictive. I played it for about an hour and I didn't want to stop even though I had to.
