Re: "Ghostbusters"

just do a revive circle around the play field and then left trigger blast when you can. And I hope by this point you've purchased the shoot while moving mod.

Unfortunately for me, I am already done. While it was an incredibly fun six hours, there simply is no replay value in it.

In fact, I would have to say that, were it not for the story (as written by Ramis and Akroyd) and cutscenes, I would not have played much past the first level or two.

I'd take a fun 6-8 hours of game over 1-2 hours of a game to find out that it is a stinking pile of shit like Damnation. At least it is a fun ride through the story and maybe some multiplayer with friends from time to time will help extend its value at least some.

"We eat gods for breakfast"

I enjoyed this game quite a bit. It was frustrating as hell at times. But it was pure nostalgia. It was so well done and possibly better than any movie could have done.

Highly recommended.

Yeah, I was finally able to beat it earlier today. But man, that part sucked. I must have died 20 times.

I am in the museum level now and let me say that
Spoiler:
possessing ghosts are annoying as hell

It's getting to the point where the game just isn't fun anymore. I'll finish it for achievements and then get rid of it. I know I said I'd never do that, but like everyone is saying, there's no replay value here.

Beat it day 2... I have to agree.. All in all a disappointing month.. Have 3 almost brand new games to sell now. Prototype, Infamous, and Ghostbusters

Honestly, I'm having more fun with Red Faction than I did with all 3 of those.

Re: "Ghostbusters"

Well I picked up yesterday and got thru the "Stay-Puff" part before FusionX asked if I wanted to jump in some MP. I hadn't hardly got the using the Proton Pack down and said sure.

Even though I'm still at the early point of single player, MP is where it's at with four players, different modes and different levels. The overall design and play is just downright fun. I didn't want to stop and go back to single player. It just different "FUN" compared to say GOW2 Horde mode. There's more of a sense of teaming up because all win or loose. Maybe it's the departure of the Run, Gun & Gore part but it left me wanting more. Should be back on for some MP tonight for sure.

Out of those 4, Red Faction is the clear winner for me, followed by inFamous. Prototype was okay, and Ghostbusters I didn't like at all - at least I only rented it.

It took you 1-2 hours to realize Damnation was a stinking pile of shit?

I just beat the part where you have to slime tether the stone angels into the gate to destroy it. I must have tried it 15 times. Stupid, stupid section.

Re: "Ghostbusters"

Yeah this game is frustrating. It's like, "I got him!...shit! No!...Wait!..I got him again...dammit! Awe come the fuck on!!! How do you lock on to these things!!!!"

Count me in for Multiplayer. L4D has me really wanting to do more team effort stuff.

Re: "Ghostbusters"

Actually, I've had no problem with the basic mechanics of the game. Just the one section.

Actually I never got the game nor played it. I just took the word of a plethora of gamers about how it stunk ass. I don't want that turd anywhere near my PS3.

Re: "Ghostbusters"

I went online and played with some randoms who happen to be pretty cool and I had a good time. The game play is intense with all the energy beams and glowing ghosts. It's also a bit of a pain to see what's going on at times, but it's still lotsa fun.

Re: "Ghostbusters"

I think I am going to try and finish this by Monday for sure, and trade it in. It's still not as fun as I hoped, but I had a great time destroying the museum

If anyone is up for getting a few "Talkers" to do MP tonight I'm in. I'll be on with SP but I do love the MP part. About 8:30 Central

Re: "Ghostbusters"

I am right at the end I think, in the cemetery. I just want this game to end

I can't imagine anyone crazy enough to play through it again. I am playing on the normal setting.

I used to like the Ghostbusters theme, but now after hearing it so often after dying and then watching the loading screen, I am sick of it.

Re: "Ghostbusters"

I beat this on professional last night and despite two boss fights, I found it enjoyable. I just wish the AI was better. With that said, I'm looking forward to some multiplayer action. Things should be SO much easier with actual people playing as your teammates.

Alot of the times, it's hard to get the newest games right away.

Re: "Ghostbusters"

Picked up the Wii version today and its a blast to play through co op. $40 with a $20 gift card from Toy R Us was too good of a deal to pass up on. The Wiimote works incredibly well to target the ghosts and the animated style of the Wii version is very nice. The fact it can be played through co op for the entire story is a nice feature and a big selling point to me. Played through the first section tonight up to beating Stay Puft. So far the storyline and dialog are great.
