Yeah I just got it at TRU and got the Gift card. I would've used the card on RE5 but there's a 6 hour wait to use the card. Oh well.

Re: "Ghostbusters"

I'm having a lot of fun with this game. I just finished the Stay-Puft level and it definitely feels like Ghostbusters, I'll give it that. I haven't had too much trouble so far. I love the original voices, although I miss Dana. It's not perfect, but it's a lot of fun.

And then worse yet it does this major mind fuck (at least on the 360) where when you start up you next game session and you choose your storage device it says it's going to overwrite your existing save file and if that's ok. Then when it loads it's just your previously saved progress. I did a backup on my memory card just in case. Kind of odd wording/process choices when it comes to the save management in this game.

I'm enjoying the game from a nostalgia standpoint, but outside of that, I'm not sure. It seems like it's going to be way short, which isn't horrible because I like quick games once in awhile, but I know for me that wouldexclude it from being a purchase.

Re: "Ghostbusters"

Some funny things in the firehouse I noticed, spoilered just in case:

Spoiler:
The painting of Vigo from Ghostbusters 2 is there. At first you can interact with it and it says lines from the movie "On a mountain of skulls, in a castle of pain, I sat on a throne of blood" etc. But when you keep interacting with it, it'll say things like "please stop burning the popcorn" or "I dreamed I was in a painting with ponies, it ws nice.

Also, Janine gets random phone calls, and on one she talks about 90210 with someone, which of course was popular in 1991.

One of the computers has the ending screen from the Ghsotbusters NES game. It has the famous "Conglaturation" message.

I thought I was going to have to start over, it was definitely a shock.

Oh and the Gamestop/Best Buy/Wal-Mart pre-order codes aren't working for anyone. I tried mine, and no sale.

Yeah, my BB code isn't valid. Not sure if it's just this Atari batch or if it's residual fromthe Live outage.

It has to be Live. A ton of people at Gamefaqs say theirs doesn't work either.

Yup. It's riding on pure nostalgia. But it's the real deal with all the actors back so I'm drudging through it. I'm hoping with upgrades the game will get easier. Hopefully.

It does get easier once you get the upgrades.

Re: "Ghostbusters"

I played a little bit yesterday and it was a lot of fun.

I actually died too, when going after the fisherman, but yeah, going slower should help there.

I'm actually surprised that you get achievements so easily. So far, in less than hour I got 8 achievements.

Re: "Ghostbusters"

So I played again last night. I just finished the
Spoiler:
library level and I have to say how annoying the whole alternate dimension was. What next, aliens? The level was more of a chore to get through, I almost found myself hoping for it to end quickly.

Well I just hope everyone is not done with the game already because I still plan on picking itup today. Surprised though no mention of any co-op play...yet.

Re: "Ghostbusters"

Just played this for a bit - got to the start of the Stay Puff part. It seems pretty good. Some of the controls leave something to be desired and I'm still mastering capturing ghosts, but I like the cut scenes etc. and it's fun to play in this world and since it's the closest thing to Ghostbusters III I can get for now, I'll take it.

Re: "Ghostbusters"

I started this last night and so far it's cool. Catching Ghosts is a chore, I guess it would have to be , but I can see where one would get better after a while.

I was kinda surprised by some of the creepiness, shocks, and scares in this game. I mean, it's Ghostbusters...I never thought of it as scary. But I guess if you're actually a Ghostbuster, then it makes sense to see things differently. The Goggle view is creepy as hell especially when certain things happen.

I do however, wish there was a "jump" button for some reason.

Re: "Ghostbusters"

Yeah, some of it is pretty scary, although the constant chatter from the Ghostbusters lessens that.

Re: "Ghostbusters"

I'm playing this on the hardest setting, professional, and am stuck on the final boss of the library level do to my awful A.I. teammates. Does anybody have any tips on how to beat that guy? The game was a breeze on professional up until this point.

That's where you have to
Spoiler:
slime then rip off his mask right? I died a decent amount there too - I think what I did was after ripping off his mask, I concentrated on reviving for a bit as best as possible while sneaking is the blaster shots at his eye.

Yep, that's the one.
Spoiler:
I can do the first two steps without a problem, but having to keep reviving my team every 3 seconds while being charged makes it almost impossible. The only way I can get a decent shot on him is when he is chasing one of my teammates, but they never stay alive long enough.
