Is this something that should be done if you're going to use a router for gaming or is it only if you're having problems?

Considering a 12-month subscription runs $50 MSRP alone, you're basically getting the camera and assorted throw-ins for $10.

After I downloaded the trial version, I just had to purchase the full game. I now have the problem of trying to convince friends to get the game as well.
My biggest problem with the game is that everyone picks the SAME guy, because his special is so good. It makes online matches kind of annoying, when 3 people all pick that same guy (black dude with the visor)

Well, after being so excited about the PS3 for so long, my enthusiasm has begun to waiver. Looks like the PS3 wasn't all that it was made out to be. So I bought a 360 instead online for $378 shiipped with the extended warranty. I hope it was the right decision -- I'm pretty comfortable with it for now.
I'm really a fan of the Sony exclusives, but I figure I can easily wait a year or two until there are some cheaper games and deals around and until they work the bugs out of the console (like I did with the 360
)So far I've bought the Premium console, the warranty, the live camera bundle Gears of War and Test Drive Unlimited (yeah, it might not be the best racer on the console, but I'm from Oahu; it'd be fun to drive all around my old haunts). Is there anything else I need to get? Should I buy Marketplace points yet? I'm not a big retro fan in general and I have the Midway Arcade games already.

Occasionally Buy will sell 1600 points for $15, so that makes it worthwhile stockpiling some. Otherwise, most retailers have the points priced at MSRP, the same cost as buying them from Microsoft directly.

so tomorrows Live Arcade game is......
An update for Texas Hold 'em. Oh, and not camera support. Not until early 2007.
Below is a full list of the new features and changes in the Texas Hold ’em update:
Features
· Game-play has been sped up:
o Post the blind and play right away! – Players can now, if they wish, start playing immediately when joining a table by posting the big blind, rather than having to wait for the blind to come to them.
o New ‘Away’ mode – Players can now set their status to ‘Away’. Hands will be auto-folded and blinds auto-posted until the player returns.
o New ‘Auto-boot’ mode – Players who continuously let the timer expire (more than three times in a game) will be booted from the table
o Faster overall pacing – Timers and messaging durations have been adjusted to speed up game-play among experienced players, but still allow novice players plenty of time to play.
· Improved blind structure – Initial blinds, as well as blind increases, are now more proportional to table stakes, ensuring more meaningful increases during game-play.
· Matchmaking improvements – Players are no longer matched into games they cannot afford
· Improved interface controls – Improvements to controls, such as increasing/decreasing stake amounts
· Leaderboard display – A player’s full winnings and rank are now properly displayed
· Art and text improvements – Game art and spelling issues have been addressed
· Online exploits addressed – Certain known exploits that enabled cheating have been addressed. As a result, the online multi-player leaderboards will be reset to eliminate inflated scores as a result of these exploits.

Has there been any word from Major Nelson or anyone else in the know of when the next BC update is coming? They have been coming out pretty regularly in 3 month intervals, and it has been 3 months since the last one. The next one should be out soon I would think.

Got to say, I'm digging the functionality of the Video Marketplace. I missed the Venture Bros. season 2 finale episodes on cable, but I was able to watch them both last night in SD.
Beyond a few menu errors, the downloading time was very quick. Granted my files were only 256 meg a piece, but it seemed as if it can be played while downloading. The Info & zoom buttons are neat functions in the play menu. I also like the resume function. I can go all the way back to the dash for a while and then pick right back up where I started.
Perhaps when they get a better assortment of content up, I'll be using it more.
