All-in-all a great game and great time. Worth every penny! Already wondering what COW2 will be like?

I also hope that the story is more fleshed out in the sequel. RAAM's name is not spoken at all throughout the game. In fact, the only way you even know his name is RAAM is because the last objective says "Kill RAAM." You know your method of storytelling is bad when even the main villain's name is never mentioned at all.

The cavern boss fight was really cool. So was the berserker one - both took me just a little bit of time to figure out how to beat them i thought they were pretty creative.

The only other real boss was that giant spider thing in the caverns. I guess the first berserker encounter could be considered a boss, but that would be pushing it. Other than that, there weren't any bosses. I wanted to stay and fight that behemoth thing that comes at you when you escape Fenix's house, but no they had to run away like a bunch of pussies.

Finished it the other day on Casual, started on Hardcore this afternoon. GoW was the reason I bought the 360, and it met and exceeded all my expectations. I was satisfied with the storytelling, but I guess that's because I had read about it online and watched the intro video before I even started a game. Besides, I enjoy the standpoint of "you're just a grunt, you don't know much of what is going on other than the vast majority of the planet is dead, so just keep moving forward and kill every damn thing you see." I expect a more detailed story in GoW 2.
There was never a dull moment in the game. GoW challenged my playing style, because ever since the release of DOOM, if I've played a game that had a gun in it, I would just run in guns blazing, but that just doesn't work in this game. I died so many times when I started playing, until I finally adjusted to actually taking cover.
Only thing I would change is to make the game a bit longer. I imagine it will be in my top 10 all-time favorite games.

Hopefully, we'll see larger maps and 10-16 player teams in MP.

OK, I'm only 25% through the campaign, but I couldn't resist going online last night for some multiplayer. Of course, I got my @zz handed to me, but boy was that that fun. Most fun I've had on XBL in a long, long time. Are there any fellower DVD Talker's that are interested in teaming up for some multiplayer? Shoot me a friend request. My gamertag is Kromax44.

At risk of sounding like a Star Wars geek trying create answers for an imaginary universe I have to do this...yet again...because you guys with your, "How do they know XXX and there's no story in GOW" questions/comments are driving me fuckin' nuts....
Again, you have to remember that the war has been going on for years, and they know a lot about the Locusts. They don't know everything, but they know enough to bring a the battel to them. Once again, You guys aren't listening the intel given to you by characters in the game because you're caught up in sawing Locusts in half and curbstomping them.
Fenix has been in prison for a few years and apparently much info has been gained since his being put away. Shit, they knew alot BEFORE he was put away. The reason he's out is because things have become FUBAR and the Humans think they have a way to end things based on the knowledge gained. Hell, you learn that in the 1st 10 minutes of the fuckin' game!!
Also, based on that creepy Female Locust narrator there's obviously much more to the story. Plus, the Locust -DO- speak. As a matter of fact, I'm replaying the game on hardcore and there's a part when one of the drones yells, "For Raaaam!!" as he attacks.

Yeah, I tried and tried and tried in single player to defeat RAAM and couldn't. Of course Dom kept running out and getting killed right away. Then I went online and played it co-op and we did it in two tries. It helped that Dom was alive the whole time and not running aound like an idiot.

DAC: This is exactly the same experience that I had. I wish I had the stats on how many times I tried to defeat RAAM on my own, but it was a ridiculous amount. Once I did it co-op online, we did it in two tries. I ended up trading the game without ever defeating RAAM on my own.

When I beat RAAM on Hardcore, it took around 20 headshots. Then I unloaded about 3 clips into him and he finally went down.
I fixing to hit chapter 3 on insane. I believe I'm going to need help to take him down this time.
