I don't get this at all.
Maybe the RAAM in your game is a dirty cheater and has god mode turned on.

Giantrobo, both of our games must have God mode turned on for RAAM.

I beat the game last night with online co-op help. I could not kill him by myself.

Tell me about it man. I don't think the others understand what we're dealing with. They went in and killed him on Co-op or with 2 shots to the head so they think we're imagining this "Super Raam".

I'm on co=op with DVDVampire on Insane and that's an understatement. Forget a few pop shots and even a sniper shot to the head. We might as well be using BB guns. I have no doubt that your "Super RAAM" does exist.

Actually, I killed him by myself. I never play online.

I'm also aware of the Bow and Grenades scaring the kryll away.
I find it much easier to go from the initial concrete slab to the outsides of the lit
crates just to the northeast and northwest before running to the other slab to
the north. Doing this and waiting a few seconds for the kryll to return to RAAM
gives you more time to make the longer run.

Another thing to try when he's far away at the start is to trick the kryll into
leaving him by walking back into the darkness then quickly returning to the
slab. You'll be able to get a few more shots at him between runs.

Yeah I've done that. It's pretty much the only way to get to the other side.

I'll try that...

Had to use co op as well on casual to kill him. He wouldn't stay put on my game as well. Had to return the game at BB before I had a chance to get to Raam on hardcore co op.

I beat him twice with co op both times we just stayed behind the first concrete slab and took him out. I will give it a shot with you if you want.

Is there a way to join a multiplayer as a group.

The other day, 2 friends and myself tried to jump in a game and couldn't do it as a group.

I'm only playing this game for campaign co-op at this point. Multiplayer got boring FAST.

MP is 10x more fun with all people you know. It got old for me real quick when I played w/strangers.

BTW, GoW is collecting dust since I got the Wii.

That's definitely true...however, it's gotten old for me in both cases.

Well, I decide to play last night after a good night of drinking. I went up against RAAM on hardcore. I was thinking about the posts about people having trouble with him. Here's what I did:

Spoiler:
I got the sniper rifle and just unload that into RAAM. I think I had to unload about 16-20 head shots. Everytime he would come close to me. I would take off on the other side of the concrete pillar and run to the opposite side. More head shots then rinse and repeat. After running out of ammo with the sniper rifle, I think I unloaded 2 clips from the machine gun and he was done.

It was a great game. I think I'll try on insane or restart playing FFXII. I haven't decided yet.

Yeah I finally beat Raam this morning and it was pure luck. I just popped the game in for shits and giggles just to give it a try and the funny thing is I didn't do anything different from what I've tried before.

I ignored the sniper rifle and took the Torque bow and the Locust gun into the battle with the idea that I could scare the Kryll and shoot at Raam. So I picked up the Torque bow and waited for a respawn in the same spot so I could pick up extra ammo(12 arrows) and I used the Locust Gun because it has a slightly larger capacity than the Lancer.

Anyway, I went in and took cover behind the 1st barrier and fired an arrow at Raam then I switched and fired at him. I repeated this until all my arrows were gone then I tossed 1 grenade and fired...then another grenade and all of a sudden he died from the 2nd grenade. Ooookaaaayyyy....

The only thing that was different, and this happened once or twice before but this time it worked in my favor...Raam didn't come after me. I was able to stay behind the barrier and fire in relative safety. Most of my other attempts had Ramm coming after me and either killing me as I tried to avoid Kryll, death by Kryll, or being killed in other attempts by the Locusts riding Seeders.

I'm guessing I didn't activate whatever thing that causes him to come after me this time so again, I got lucky and still say there's something weird about the whole situation.

I started HARDCORE right after killing Raam on casual. I can't wait to get Raam on Hardcore and Insane....NOT!!!

There are a bunch of those invisible barrier triggers throughout the game. One of the guys on EGM's(?) podcast ripped into it because of them.

That bastard came after us every single time last night (on Insane).

K&AJones and I will need to come up with a different strategy tonight.

When I beat him on Hard Core he was coming after us then the guy I was playing with hit him in the head point blank and he was gone. It may have been a glitch because it was way to easy.

That makes a lot of sense now. Because I swear, this morning he stayed in one spot this time and he never moved.

Hmmmmm, I wonder if Dom can activate these barriers? Because now that I think about it, Dom was killed early and Raam killed him in a spot where he couldn't revive because Raam had a clear shot at him each time. The result was Dom wasn't running around the train like friggin moran while I was trying to kill Raam.

Perhaps that's the key in co-op? Not having players go past a certain point or to certain areas on the train?

Yeah that's what I mean. It seems it's more luck of the draw..or a glitch.
That's why I think it was pure luck this morning because I've tried that same tactic that worked this morning before....
