Find a raiding guild yet?

We're starting our 2 day 3 hour 25 man runs this week. We have no problem downing Maulgar but havent had much time to work on gruul (only a handful of attempts). hopefully 3 hours will be more than enough. I dropped mining and picked up blacksmithing and got my tier 2 BS weapon all within like 3 weeks. I cant wait to use it now, haha. and now the race will be on to get 5 nether vortexes. fun fun!

Pattern: Boots of Natural Grace dropped for me tonight. I've been saying I'd pick up leatherworking as soon as I get it. I just spent 3k gold on crafting the tailoring stuff for my alt mage, guess I'll do it again for my druid.

Nope, still unguilded. Wife started to play with me so a lot of my time each night is spent lvl'n a priest/druid/hunter with her mage. Between that and my obsessive goal to reach 10k gold I am pretty much filled up with stuff to do outside raiding for the moment.

10k gold? crazy. i'm always so poor. i think i was down to about 20g between all my characters at one point. buying gems, enchants, etc.

Well, I have alot of free time, so 10k is a good number to shoot for I think. Up to 9822g now, so should have the rest by tonight unless Steff wants me to run her through SM again.

It is sad to think how much gold I have made in BC. To date I have bought epic flyers for both toons, 3 for friends, and half of a 4th. Power lvl'd smithing and tailoring to max, and make the full cloth sets for the mage. The 1 and 2 handed ax for the warrior and power lvl'd a friends smithing to 370 (made him earn the rest on his own). And was ripped off 4000g (as you know).

It is way to easy to make gold in the game now. lol

if you ever decide to quit and want to throw 5k my way, i wont cry.

i stay afloat by doing 5 or 6 daily quests. i also found that i can trade 40 apex shards for about a gold. i have like a 1000 shards in the bank, so its good for a little money every once and a while. My wife is an herbalist and could farm netherstorm during the day when it was less crowded. she got her epic mount. ive spent my money on professions, gems, enchants and gear. one of my main desires for an epic flyer is so i can have more access to daily quests via netherwing.

my guild killed gruul on tuesday for the first time. my computer kept locking up so after maulgar i had to drop out of the raid. atleast i won the plate DPS bracers from maulgar between crashes. it was depressing watching the gruul fight while watching my wife's screen and listening in on vent. i so wanted to be there.
tonight we're going after void reaver, so seeing TK for the first time should be awesome. I got a back up computer that will be ready incase i get a case of the crashes again.

Lootreaver is cake once everyone catches on to what they need to do. A tip for ya, make sure everyone has announcements turned on in Deadly boss mods. Makes it a lot easier for everyone to see who is getting the "orb of death" tossed their way so that you can move away from them.

The trash on the way there is another story.. We had more issues with that at the start then anything else. Make sure those you have CC'ing are the best you have. The trash has a tendency to 1 shot most people so you can not afford to have them running free for long.

Edit - Oh, you might want to look into trading your shards for flasks, and then selling the flasks on the AH. You will make a lot more gold that way then just selling the crystals themselves. You make more off peoples laziness then anything else in the game, and for you to farm and convert the crystals is worth a bunch.

voidreaver trash did suck. we seemed to figure it out eventually, though. we had less than an hour to work on voidreaver. lots of learning to be done. like where healers vs ranged dps can stand. meleeing seemed pretty easy. few steps forward to dps then a few steps back to avoid the pounding. I was wondering if it would be possible for the healers to stand just outside of the pounding range and just inside the orb range. anyone know why this tactic wouldnt work?

I think that there is a over lap between the two areas depending on where the targets player is standing when the orb is cast. So say Mr. Mage is to close to where you have a healer set you would see the healer have to move away from where the mage was before.

One thing that I think made it easier was to have a buddy system. Have 2 people stand together all around him, that way when an orb is cast all they have to do is run back to the wall, and not from side to side. This is the way that we did it to make the learning stage go much quicker. Once you have all the healers and casters doing this all around the room you no longer have to worry about the group to either side, and can pay attention to just you and your buddy.

Use the size of the room to your advantage!

Well I've never paid to play for myself. So I couldn't really quit I guess kind of...lol. But now a year after getting Grand Marshal, I'm helping(helped, 5 days) my sister go from 65 to 70. She was 65 and STILL running around on the noob mount. Healing priest, stayed holy until 68, finally had gold, when I started she had 30 silver on her.

Now she's 70, has epic mount, does 250 more spell damage gear wise than she did when I logged in. I've spent over 800 gold now on her, no more 12 slot bags....mount, gear.. etc etc...I'm such a nice brother lol.

Usually people pay me for doing that for them, but hey she's my sis....It is interesting to see the new stuff, but still kinda a lot of the same ol same ol. But I'm not bored yet anyway. I guess I still have the fever of sorts..

Ok, a question for you WoW folk.

Are there such things as free servers to play WoW? If so, are they legal and what are the differences between them and the main pay server?

There's private servers that are free. The main differences is the fact that you can get epic items and such alot easier and often free. You can go places you can't normally go (GM Island for example), do things you can't normally do (Mages use bows for example) but they are often very laggy and buggy.

and to finish that last post up. No they are not legal when it comes to wow's eula or tos. They can technically get you for modifying game files for playing on one of those. As said, they are usually buggy and have most stuff not working on half-assed working.

Mind sharing some of your techniques? I always seem to have trouble making cash aside from dailies!

Yeah really. I must be doing something wrong if it's so easy to make gold nowadays.

I made about 400 gold so far in 2 days with about 20 minutes of actual work on one toon, and around 600 on another with about an hour or 2 of actual work.

I mine for an hour each day, some days for 2. In that hour I normally get 7 stacks of ore by just flying around the outside edge of Nagrand and one section of the center.

With that ore, I have a JC friend prospect it for the blues, and then take the blood garnets and have Fel Iron Blood Ring's made with those. With the golden draenite, I have the Golden Draenite Ring made. Once I have all these made I send them off to get DE'd.

Now, you are left with the Adamantite Powder from the prospecting. What you do with that is have your JC'er make Mercurial Adamantite. You will have all kinds of primal earth from your mining. Once you have that made have him make Braided Eternium Chain's. You will need to use your eternium bars that you got from mining for these as well.

Send those off to be De'ed also as they DE into a Large Prismatic Shard.

Now, on the Draenor server I can sell stacks of ore for ~25g. Eternium sells for around the same so say I sold all that I mined that day in the AH I could get ~225g. If I do what I laid out I can get ~500 if I get lucky and the gems are above average. If the gems are lower quality gems you will still make more, but not as much.

Yeah I left wow for a year, helped sister. Now checking out private servers, its fun to get ot places see things you couldnt solo. I was grand marshal so I feel like I've done the hardest thing the game could ever throw at anyone so....playing around and goofing off is kinda cool. Full tier 6 , nice other items, its just fun really.

we downed Magtheridon for the first time last night. i think it was our third night of attempts (2 of which were after Gruul runs). thats a nerve-racking fight; hoping someone doesnt screw up their cube click at like 15%

I think I may have been hacked. I play on the Horde side on Alexstrasza, and I haven't logged on for 4 days since I have been out of town.

Today, I decide to login, to check the AH, and my username and password aren't recognized. So I thought, maybe I typed them in wrong since this laptop has a habit of missing keystrokes sometimes.

No sale, still can't login.

So I login on the wifes account, I check her friends list. Both my level 70's are listed as friends, but 3 of my other alts are gone. I try to add them as friends, and get "player not found". We're talking a 38 Mage, 35 Priest, and a 34 Lock. Nothing big. Why someone would delete them is behind me. My main had over 3k gold on him, not even sure if it's still there as I can't login.

The weird thing is my guild screen shows my main online 23 hours ago, and as I said before, the last time I played was 4 days. I never give my login or password out to anyone so the "maybe it was a friend" won't fly. My wife was with me the whole time and she hasn't logged on either.

To make matters worse, I can't remember my secret question, so I am screwed.

EDIT:

I just checked the Armory, and all my gear on my main is gone. Whoever messed with my account put the Aregent Dawn commission on me, the Insignia of the Horde (both were in the bank) and the ghost glasses from that Shadow Moon Valley quest.

Yeah same with my alt, also 70. Only thing she is wearing is the AD commission.

And my 47 Pally, stripped naked.

I guess this confirms I have been hacked.

Why would someone take the time to delete the lower level alts altogether, but leave the 70 mains alone?

My guild finally downed Illidan last night and Archimond the night before, so happy. ^_^
Didn't have enough DKP from either fight to bid on anything though. Also, the most stacks of ore I get from Nagrand in an hour is 2 or 3 if all the nodes are up. How are you getting 7!? (I still got the 60% mount because Blizzard blows and wont make a 120% one like they should have for 2500g)

It is all a matter of the route you take, trying not to waste to much time flying to an area that has less spawn points.
