I honestly don't get how so many people get their accounts "hacked"....unless of course by hacked you mean you gave your password to a guildy(someone who you've never met) and a month later they got pissed at you and logged into your account and took everything(which is usually the case from people I know that it's happened to).

Other than that, how do you let yourself get "hacked" or keylogged? Do you not pay attention to what you are installing on your computer?

No, my computer is free of viruses, spyware, etc. I am fairly tech saavy so I know about scams and fake sites and what not to click. I had to have gotten mine from a bad mod since I get my mods from the site that was infected. I cleaned them all out and changed my password.

Blizzard did give me back all my deleted characters and all my gold lost. I got all my gear back on all characters as well, enchants, gems, and all. The only thing I noticed that I didn't get back was the fish scales and fish oil, the Scryer's talbard, a bunch of bags I had (they only gave me back 7 total bags when I had about 35 across six characters). Other then that, it all looks well.

New patch up today. Among the changes I noticed early on are:

Guild bank, new neutral town in Dustwallow with tons of quests for the 40's

available quests now appear as "!" on your mini map

quest turn ins now appear as "?" on the map

herbs and items that can be gathered (ie quest parts) now sparkle so they are seen easier

the flight master automatically takes you to the flight path screen as opposed to asking you what you want

the xp required for levels and the xp gained from 1-60 has been reduced and increased respectivly

Some nice stuff in the new patch. we raided on tuesday night and one shotted maulgar, gruul, magtheridon and hydross. not sure if it was due to the patch but we seemed to be doing more DPS. as a fury warrior, i'm not sure how big the changes were for me since i OTed all the boss fights except Gruul (and i was the top meleer on that one). with the new -10% threat Improved Bezerker stance talent and blessing of salvation, i was always low on the threat meter, which is great.

I'm gonna go create me a Night Elf Mohawk.

Alliance favoritism. Bad Mr. T.

They should put the mohawk in when they add new hairstyles. The Mr. T commercial was great, but the Shatner one was disappointing. He can be funny when given the right material.

P.S. Has the patched dropped anyone else's frame rate?

I saw a commerical that said you can try WoW for free at warcraft.com. How long do you get to play for? Do you just download the game from their site? I'm going home for thanksgiving and need something to keep me occupied.

The free trial is 10 or 14 days(can't remember) from when you activate trial account. Keep in mind that you are limited to the original races and not the new BC races like the Dranai and BE, but you can play all other races and classes up to lvl 20 with restrictions to mail, ah, and inventory. Yes, you can download the trial from their site, although it's a torrent file, so it can be slow. I think there are other sites like fileplanet or something like that where you can also download the trial client. The client is basically the whole game, but with restrictions, if you decide to buy the code for the game, the restrictions unlock.

My framerate went from a high of about 75 fps to 118 fps. They said they'd enhance the framerate for dual core processors and that's what I have so I guess it worked.

thought i'd bring this thread back from the dead

I've almost got my shaman to level 58. Its been a lot of fun leveling an alt up since the exp changes to 20-60. i can almost do a level in a couple few hour sessions even up in the 50s.
my main (fury warrior) is still raiding. got third on damage for voidreaver. i could have done better if i had a feral druid in my group (+5% crit is so awesome); but i probably would have died from pulling aggro. we're working on Morogrim in SSC now, got him to 2% one time. that fight sucks.

Our guild gets our asses kicked in Kara right now. We tried Moroes and Maiden but were unsuccessful.

OK. I fired up my account again (it had been off since May 2007), but I have a crap load of time on my hands, and my brother just started playing, so I figured it would be a good way to game with my brother.

I haven't played in awhile. I started a Dwarf Hunter.

My main questions are:

What are the primary mods. in 07, I knew Auctioneer was huge, as was CTMod for the map coordinatres, One Bag was also great.

Any others?

I love the new ? and ! for the questgivers, these are great.

I'd recommend cartographer for a map mod, and lightheaded as a quest helper. arkinventory is the bag manager I use. Autobar is great for managing your consumables, but it is a bit bloated and requires some customization. Quartz is a great castbar replacement. For information at a glance, I'd recommend fubar plus its related plugins. If you want a damage meter, try assessment. It is powerfully customizable, yet light on resource use. If you pvp, witchhunt is a simple enemy cast notification, and Necb is a powerful more complicated one. If you want to change your action bars, I recommend bartender, or bongos. For changing your unitframes, pitbull, xperl, and AGuf are the big 3.

Hope that helps. Most of these mods can be found at www.wowace.com

With Cartographer is there anyway to disable the auto-opening of the map when mousing over the minimap icon?

Is there an auto quest turn in mod? I'm tired of clicking to turn in all the loot in AV.... Trying to get rep.
