looks like this hasn't been posted yet from ign.com:
CES 2006: A VR Revolution?
3D Visor hits CES. Nintendo shows interest.
by Mark Bozon
January 4, 2006 - Info begins to roll in from CES and while the show has only begun, interesting news is already breaking. A technologies company called eMagin has already shown off a sweet piece of hardware for gamers everywhere known as the Z800 3D Visor. The visor, which basically looks like a pair of sunglasses with a hint of Virtual Boy, can be used to watch a video signal in stereo much like Nintendo's previous VR system.
Technology like this has already hit arcades via the Beachhead franchise, and while this is still very new to the market (available since last July) Nintendo has already shown interest, purchasing numerous units directly from eMagin. Does this mean Revolution will be VR? Will Nintendo send us into the new age of gaming with full 3D worlds that can be explored by the turn of a head? That remains to be seen. While the specs do support most PC machines and could be used for console control in the future it is a long shot to assume Nintendo is integrating this into Revolution based on these facts alone. eMagine's own Bruce Ridley has hinted at console support, however, stating that the company is talking to all major console marketers about the headset.
More news as it develops.

Revolution = Nintendo RS?
Alright, so I was searching around video.google.com tonight and came across a strange video.
The description of the video is listed as "Menu beta that Nintendo gave the companies." and it lists www.nintendo.co.jp as the source site of this video.
I don't know jack about google video, can it be easily manipulated to give "false information"? I found this video simply be searching for the word "nintendo" Anyway here is the link not sure if this is legitimate or not:
http://video.google.com/videoplay?do...813&q=nintendo

So I did some searching apparently fanboys and the like have been speculating that the system will be called RS for "Revolutionary System" for some time now. that said, I'm even more unsure about the video's legitimatcy. The fact that google indicates www.nintendo.co.jp as the source still has my interest peaked a bit.

Doesn't sound too impossible that it could be the real name. Personally even though they won't, I kinda like Revolution.
So the options are
?????????
Start Game
?????????
?????????
There seem to be two additional options in the upper right?
the video resolution isn't the greatest, but thats a good find. Even if we're not sure if the video is real or not.

This is my dream setup for the virtual console:
I would like to see GB and Game Gear games for .99, NES, CD-I (at least the Nintendo licensed titles) and TURBO GRAFIX 16 games for 1.99, GEN / SEGA CD / 32X (crosses fingers for Sega CD games) games for 2.99, SNES and GBA games at 3.49, and SATURN and N64 games for 3.99. If Dreamcast games are availible then I would pay 4.99. And if Gamecube titles come to download, then I would pay 9.99. This is a bit much but it would be nice. It would nicer if certain titles were free to download or if you could trade titles among people.

I probably won't pay 20 bucks for an N64 game when you can get used games on ebay for cheaper most likely. However I know I'm not going to hook up my N64 so it may just be cheap enough to get me to bite. However I'm sure if Nintendo doesn't get the downloads they want that they will lower the prices accordingly.

I noticed someone mentioning titles on other platforms, game gear etc. What are the chances of seeing titles from non nintendo platforms running on revolution? Could Nintendo work something out with sega to make this happen, that would be sweet.

. The reason being that gamecube discs are playable on the Revolution, so you would just buy them from the store like you normally would. Releasing the revolution wouldn't automatically make gamecube games obsolete.

I think if Gamecube games were going to be downloadable, I think at least maybe the 1st generation of games would come out downloadable or maybe a little bit later than launch. How much space does a Gamecube disc hold?
