Thanks for the advice, i guess this as good a time to join Reward Zone as any.

This question goes out to the Best Buy employee, when we got the info about system distributions for BB it was also stated that there would be a special brochure handed out with deals like $10 off any one game over a certain price, etc. Have you seen this brochure will it only be handed out to those getting systems that morning or at least to all those waiting in line before you open that day? The only reason I ask is because I was planning on going elsewhere and possibly just picking up a game and controller for a discount. The other reason I ask this is because I almost thought for sure that the brochure they had advertised an the circular today would possibly be this brochure but it is not as it only has $5 off coupons for most of the games and none of the other deals that were mentioned about this special brochure.

Well I just came back from my local BJs and the manager told me they are expecting 10 premium systems in on launch day. I guess BJs will have them as well. My local BB opens at 9 am on the 22nd. I was thinking maybe showing up at midnight @ BB and if there is all ready a line I'll campout at BJs.

I think the Core system is going to be a big fiasco for Microsoft.
Or the parent, to appease their spoiled kid, will just go out and drop a hundred more bucks on the HD. I'm pretty sure that some desperate gamers will do the same thing if the Core is the only one available.

Did some calling around. Wal-Mart is getting 14 and there were already 4 people in line for midnight. I didn't call the Super Wal-Mart as I figure it's worse. Target thinks they are getting around 30 and are handing tickets out at 6am for an 8am opening. I'm not even going to try Best Buy. I think I'll try Target and then hit Sam's Club if I strikeout there.

The demand is pretty high due to College Station being a college town. Way too many college kids with lots of free time. Hopefully shipments will keep filtering in.

Hi all! For the people that ordered from Wal-Mart.com, are you getting your games? I ordered Condemned, DOA4, and Kameo and they are not shipping yet. Same applies to the faceplate and Gold membership. The premium system itself is on schedule to be delivered tomorrow (YEAH!) but no word on the rest.

Good thing I got some games from EB!

Interesting! I thought my games were out last week (except for DOA4). I guess I willjust play Perfect Fark, Tony Hawk, and PGR3 until they get here. Thanks for the response.

Well , we did get our brochures in and our checklist for those in line. There will be coupons in there and should be given out until the store runs out. I would think each store will be getting a good 100-300 of them for those in line to read while waiting.

Now to go take a quick ZzZZzzz , charge up the PSP and the Ipod.. get the chair ready (and the unbrella since it sounds like it will be raining tonight...) and get to BestBuy around 9pm. Helping get it all setup until midnight, and then camping out.

My plan is , get one at bestbuy , go to EB get my second one (hopfully) and then run to BJ's to see if I can get my third.

That's BS. The manager of the electronics dept at my Wal-Mart told me how many every store in south central Iowa was getting. He rattled off about 5 stores before I said "ok!, thanks."

I stopped by WM at 3:30. 10 people in line, 8 systems.

Called Meijer, "We're doing a lottery, there are too many people wanting these!"

Looks like Target and Sams are the way to go on this one. It's a lot nastier to wait at 4:00 am then 9:00 pm.

Well my GR pre-order turned out to be a dud. Apparently I was #6 on the list and they got 5 systems... when they were supposed to get 10. I went in and talked to the mgr but no go... I pre-ordered on 24-Aug and getting shorted. Oh well, I'll get one in the next shipment whenever that is...

I believe when I pre-ordered they remarked that I was #4, but I firmly believe that GR employees bumped themselves up in the list...

Crap. just found out my EBGames only got 20 units instead of 40. So I'm on the second shipment. Screw that.

Here's my plan. First, hit Sam's Club around 5am. If the line is too long, move onto Best Buy. If that doesn't look good, on to Toys R Us.

What do you guys think?

There are already 100 people out in front of our store for our midnight release. We've only got 40 systems we can sell tonight.

There are going to be some pissed off people.

Damn I was all hot to trot to get one, but came down with a nasty illness. I'm just going to chill out and watch the Vikings tonight. I can't believe there are already lines forming... that's crazy. Have a fun time guys. Good luck!

There are about 20-30 people standing in line in front of my closet Best Buy. Oddly enough no one is standing in front of CC, Target, Kmart, Toy'R'Us or Sams. I'm going to try my local Sam's Club tommorow morning. Maybe being a business member will pay off?

Just got off the phone with Sam's:

"Due to an unforseen system error, no online orders will arrive before mid-December. Expect your XBox no earlier than December 23."

Report from the field:

I struck out at all my Wally Worlds. All 3 of my 24 hour Wal-marts have have people in line since early this morning and that's mostly for the core!

My Best Buy has a line already with people in camping tents. A line has also formed at 1 of the Circuit Cities in the area and Target has a line as well.

All this in the pouring down rain. I'm going to catch some ZZZ's and then head out at 2 a.m. to look for a spot to camp. Good luck all!
