update on my status:

Camping out at Work... we showed the manager the letter from corp that said that employees can get one at no discount... and as long as we wait in line. So getting one of them there.

And my preorder is allset: I am number 1 on the list for first shipment.

Wow, I had no idea Friday was CC's Xbox unveiling online. I went to their site just to look and saw all the 360 bundles, but I assumed they had been there for a while so I didn't bother to order. Now I see "sold out" labels next to all of them.

okay this is too funny. Here is a quote from a Wal-Mart spokesperson

"We're not aware of any shortages," said Karen Burk, a spokesperson for Wal-Mart, the country's largest chain of retail stores. "We're anticipating being able to meet the demand."

lmao full article can be found here http://news.com.com/Bracing+for+the+...3-5961175.html

There is a sign at my local store mentioning the shortage so something isn't right with that quote. They make it clear that their supply will not need the demand on launch night.

First question for you if you happen to have T2 Extreme edition, can you tell us if it plays the HD version of the movie?

We all know damn well that there is a shortage and that Wal-mart isn't going to be able to meet demand, that's why it's funny to me that she said that. What a stupid comment for her to make

and if you don't......go out and buy it right away because I want to know

Personally I doubt that it will, but you could still just stream it from the PC so I guess it doesn't matter to me much.

I would get their earlier. Especially if it's a G4 location:

http://www.g4tv.com/xbox360/features..._Best_Buy.html

A lot of people are going to best buy so they can use there rewards membership. With it being a short work week, I bet many people are using some of their remaining vacation days to take the 1st half of the week off so they can ensure they get one and play one through the holiday week.

My nearest Wal-Mart is getting 4 cores no premiums. And the SuperCenter is getting 6 cores, no premiums. Guess I'm not getting one after all.

Parents who are going to be mighty pissed off when Johnny can't play "Halo 2" anymore.

I think the Core system is going to be a big fiasco for Microsoft.

I just pointed that out to show that just because you are in charge.....doesn't mean you are in the know.

I'm really amazed that my local Wal-Mart has enough sense to put up that sign. They haven't had the 360 on for over a week and they have a sign on the system stating that it is not to be turned on. I can't believe they would still be having interference problems from the system. I wish I could be there to see the line and all the stressed out people. The old lady who stocks DVDs on Monday nights will have to give me a the full scoop when I'm there the following week.

so after alot of arguing, debating, bitching and cussing I'm supposedly guaranteed one now. it was a major pain in the ass dealing with Gamerush. first they didn't have a record of my sale, then I wasn't paid in full after I told them that I was staring at my reciept, after I pointed out that my reciept shows a paid amount of 424.00 then they made a stink because I used a check and they aren't supposed to take checks for more than 50.00. I told the guy that this was done over 2 months ago and the check already cleared so tough luck there too.

I will never step foot into this location again after this and if I have to get a damn refund I'm going to make a huge scene while doing it. this is complete BS that I'm the only person in 10 orders that was paid in full and I'm being jerked around every which way.

So, everyone planning to wait in line ... if they sell out of premiums, are you going to buy a core?

Question about waiting in line on such events, what happens if you go alone and want to pee or take a dump? Give up your place or just pee/poop in pants???

Just tell the person(s) right behind you that you have to run to the bathroom and to save your spot. Shouldn't be a problem.

Not a chance. I figure if I don't get a premium I will wait. I know how many Super Walmart is getting, and Target so I can tell if it is even worth waiting.

Hell no. The core is a joke. The only people that will be buying that is:
1. confused parents or 2.that is the only one on the shelf, the the parent buys it not knowing there are two.

I don't know if this has been mentioned but Best Buy is having no interest financing until 2008 November 20-23 on all purchases $299 and up. I wasn't going to get a 360 at launch before but now i think i will. I hope they don't give me any trouble about using it on the 360 considering they say its even good on gift cards.

Interest free is good on teh 360... it is all good that day. Also... expect to be asked if you have reward zone that day... because if you don't , you will get it for free after your "checks" come in at least. (Costs 10 bucks .... every $150 spent = 5 ...)
