Well, the Sears guy could've been holding it back because of a corporate edict or something... but gave in because of the complaining. I'm sure the guy that told her there were some in the back got an earful from the manager afterwards though.

Amazon just had the Pro Player 2 bundles again for just under a minute. My friend here at work snagged one and it will be here on Tuesday.

My Sears was holding the systems so that the employees could decide if they want to buy them or not. The thing is, these were ones they still had from launch day!

Man that's just plain wrong; but I'm sure before this whole thing is over we will probably hear of a shitload more instances of the same business practices.

Anyone have any idea on when the BestBuy.com bundles will be available?

A friend of mine who works at Best Buy claimed his manager told them to
expect a restocking anytime after today. Remember to ask and not just look
on the shelves. When the PS2 launched the Best Buys in this area purposefully
left them in the back (dishing them out to those asking) to avoid incidents.

Has anyone been able to find the HD in stock anywhere? My older brother ended up having to get a core system and he's been trying to find the hard drive but hasn't had any luck.

You know, I've never seen the hard drive for sale... never really thought about it until now.

If anyone's around Seattle, I saw a not-so-hidden employee memo at the Northgate Best Buy. On Sunday, Dec. 18th, the store will open with a 360 relaunch and they'll have a minimum of 20 systems. Wasn't specified how many premium or core. First come first serve.

It's a minimum of at least 20 premiums, they'll have cores too but they won't be in that days Sunday flyer.

The same people who are buying the systems up just to selling em on eBay are doing the same thing with the HDs.

Interesting. I think this is the 2nd or 3rd time the date Dec. 18 has been dropped on the table. I wonder why that day though?

It's the beginning of the last shopping week before Xmas. (Sunday the 18th, the following Sunday is the 25th). So technically, the last "Wide" ads will be going out that morning.

My Circuit City is NOT accepting pre-orders in San Diego in the Pacific Square.

I've seen the HDD for sale at two seperate Target stores now.

My receipt states that this item has been special ordered and I will be notified when it arrives. I guess I got lucky my Circuit City (South OKC) was offering to do this, I guess they got sick of the daily calls and are trying to cut down on repeat requests.

So is anyone going out to try again tomorrow?

I work across the street from Best Buy. I'll go there at 10am before I have to work. I'm going in with no expectations so maybe I will be surprised.

I'm done, till the new year at least. I've learned my lesson though. I will pre order the ps3 as soon as they start taking pre orders for it. Never again will I wait in line or go store to store.

Heck yeah! Why not? I don't actually expect to get one before X-mas, but I'm enjoying the search.

I also enjoy a good search. I'm also bemused by the assortmant of answers I'm getting.

Cool I'll have to mention that to him. We have two targets about equidistant from where we are so maybe he'll be able to find one.

In general while I'm sure MS is eating up the publicity, it really is bad for business to have such a huge customer base really wanting to buy the system, games, accesories,etc and to not have not enough to go around.
I know I for one didn't really have much desire to get one until recently but since they're so hard to find I'm going to wait for quite a while.

Well if ANYONE is able to find one I'll jump right back into the game... so if anyone gets any leads in the morning be sure to post them.

Don't know if anyone noticed but I was watching the tracker site at work today, yes I surf the internet all day at work, and EastLuna .com had some instock units at around 12:30- 1pm eastern time. Their server was hit so hard that is went down for a few minutes. When it came back up their was just a blank page with a message that said something like "Server is down due to traffic, we are sorry but he have currently sold out of X-box 360s".

Well, I might get one tomorrow from a friend who doesn't want his. But he's not sure. So we'll see.

On the plus side, I pre-ordered a PS3 from FYE today. First in line.
