Who's all on tap for either tonight or tomorrow night? I check in late last night and saw only two and they weren't in Halo but something else. Honestly I haven't wanted to play much with all the stuff going on down in the Gulf but I need something to get my mind off it.

So I just got a 42" Samsung DLP, and it, much like Jerry McGuire, it completes me.
Over the weekend, I started running a whole bunch of double team - I am surprised at how fun it really is.
Also, I ran some rumble preview on the new maps. Not sure of the name of the map, but its swampy and f-ing dark. I got my arse kicked. Apparently, crouching is the shizzle on that map, cause I goofily ran around looking for radar hits.

I should be on most of the rest of my nonwork life, at least until the divorce, so send invites.

So the funny thing was that she did some mind ninja stuff on me to convince me that it was my idea to get the tv, and has been working me overtime mercilessly since I ordered it, since if I can watch tv, I can paint, mow, clean house, etc... Watch out gentlemen, those tvs come with strings attached!

Looks like the playlist update came down today.
Should be some interesting times. Though I'm not sure I'll try any of the new game types until a few days when the level 30+ people all rank up so I'm not blown out of the water each game.

Played some team sniper last night - until it and the multiteam get rankings, be ready to get ass handled. Very humbling experience. Ran on Sanctuary (1 kill), Collussus (4) and Burial Mounds (6).

For multiteam and TS, the Gemini map seems to devolve into a grenade frenzy under the tree.

Those sound like some fun new multiplayer modes. I better start practicing with the sniper rifle.

Team Snipers sounds like fun, though I'm sure I'll suck. I'll be sure to only play it when Czar's on my team. :D I'm not sure about multiteams. From the Bungie boards, it sounds like people are being assholes on it already. Since your party gets split up among the teams, some people are helping their friends out if they get put onto another team on games like Territories and stuff. Lame.

I am not sure if I am in a completely odd timezone (East), but no one is never on at the same time. Me need heep big sniper.
As for not snipe sucking, (take with grain of salt since I got ass handed yesterday) set up Zanzibar and Lockdown as just snipers, and go shoot the energy cells for practice.
As for getting split, we did when we had 4, but did not with 3. I'm not sure if thats normal. And being unranked, its mainly just good clean fun.

I'm thinking of practicing sniping in the swamp level. It's got that little ball that flies around humming. It seems like a good moving target, though it doesn't react if you do hit it . . . at least it helps in tracking the target.

We went into a Multi-Team game last night with 9 people thinking we would be 3 full teams and another random team. We got completely split up so that 1 team had 3 of us and the other 3 teams each got one random person plus 2 of us. I wish they would at least split parties evenly.

I'm not sure I see this playlist lasting very long. With the problem of folks screwing over teams just cause they were split from their buddies plus the shear chaos you get with some of the games (neutral flag on warlock is a PITA!), I personally won't play this one too much.

OMG.. Multi Team was the most frustrating/angering/horrible time I've had on Halo 2.

I was with Duster and Primal Urges. We got put on the same team, and it was 4 teams of 3, neutral flag on warlock.

We scored the first capture of the game, and the others seemed to be wondering what was going on. It was mass chaos.

Then, when they figured it out, it got worse. We were the green team. Duster was chasing a guy on one of the teams carrying the flag(we'll say red team). Another guy on lets say the blue team, comes behind Duster, kills Duster and lets the guy on the red team score. People were treating the game as a Slayer game and not CTF. They were just killing anyone that they saw regardless of the actual objective of the gametype.

It was horrible, and that one game is the only time I'll be playing Multi Team.

Me no likely multi-team. Me done with it.

multi-team with strangers sounds scary, its crazy enough when i know the guys i'm playing with i can just think how it is when you get a real dildo on your team ugh

So the new unranked games are perfect...
 

if you are a drunk like me. No stress. Plenty of time site see, enjoy the ambience of the maps.
Then, I ran about 10 real TS games with saku bb crocop and he must have thought I was some kind of deleveler with my drunk suckage. But I have to say, going from playing 15s in unranked to 25s in ranked is just brutal after 6 beers at 2 am.

LOL. You weren't bad at all, I sucked too. We won the first 4 games or so and then went on about a 6 game losing streak. My ranking went down from 26 to 24. I think some of the guys we were playing with used some kind of cheats or I was lagging bad. Some of them moved really fast!

Okay, are you guys getting back into this with the new levels? I've checked out for a while but would be happy to start playing again if some DVDTalkers were in on it.

Some of us are still kicking. I'm on about every Friday and Saturday night for many hours and we have been having a decent size group. I'm not sure if you are on my list though Thor, so send me a FR if i'm not on yours.

its going be a couple weeks till i'm on playing again till i get this class homework thing down.

would anyone maybe be up for a fight club game thursday or sat night so i can record it on my computer with my caputre card? okay maybe more like 4 or 5 games of fight club or rockets king on midship?

Does anyone know the settings for the Team Slayer Pro gametype that is now in team training? I haven't been able to find it.
