i agree it sucks, but it has to be done. so everyone if you play on live at all get the maps they're $5.99 and everyone here can probably afford that except for MARTIN5. he has to spend all his extra money on a weight loss program for his room-mate. the guy just hit 300 pounds the other day so now MARTIN5 is going to be poor like kenny from southpark so lets try to be nice to him and make fun of him for not having the maps.

Ok what's the deal with the $5.99 disc and the $19.99 disc? Second how and where? Man I'm just out of it as far as Halo is concerned. okay you download the maps that are out now through the content download. two are free and two you have to pay for, its billed to the credit card you have your live account on. the disc with all the maps and stuff is going to be out later this year its also supposed to have some extra stuff on it too.

Basically, there are going to be 9 new maps. Two of them came out free on Monday. You just go to Halo 2, log in to Live and go to Content Download. The other maps are all going to be pay maps. You can either download them from Live as they come out, which will charge it to the credit card that is on your Live account, or you can wait until June 28th and buy the disc that they are all going to be on. If you buy the disc, you get all 9 maps for $19.99. If you buy them separately off Live, you get 2 now for $5.99, then at some point, the other 5 will be released through Live for $11.99. That's the way a lot of people are doing it. Hope that made sense. :)

I already downloaded all 4 new maps. I plan on buying the disk when it is released so I have a back-up and can transfer information to other xboxs. Plus, the wife works at Best Buy, so I'm sure the $19.99 retail price will be knocked down a bit by her employee discount, bringing my cost closer to the $11.99 online download.

did anyone else hear that halo 2.5 will be on the optional hard drive for the new xbox? i was watching attack of the show on g4 and they said something about. not that the idiots on g4 know anything but that would be great to get the ending to halo 2 instead of what we got that left us hanging.

I think microsoft needs to make sure there is a hard drive standard, not optional. Maybe I should finally play the single player mode so I know what you are talking about.

well the thing all over is you can't play current xbox games on the new xbox without the hard drive option. so i'm going to get one even though it is going to be more cash. that and i guess you get webtv with the hard drive. why i have no idea but that is what is posted at various game news sites.
