Man, I'm a total virgin at FPS games. I don't know what possessed me to buy an XBox and Halo 2, let alone a Live subscription.

Probably the trash talk from some of my friends....who can actually play.

Anyway, I routinely get 1-4 kills in a Rumble Training match, and even less on a 1 on 1 match.

I think a lot of this is due to the fact that I don't know the maps or where the weapons are. Some of it is moving around in the open, prime meat for snipers, rockets, etc. And some of it is just plain inability at this point. I haven't even begun to have success with the head shot, I don't jump that much, and I just figured out the "beat down" thing. In essence....I suck!!! :)

Anyway, if any of you guys want to take a total n00b under a wing and help me out, I can at least be cannon fodder in the clan training matches.

Hey dude, drop me a friend request rearadmir0l ( thats zero ell ) I usually run 5:30 - 7:00 + (east coast) M-W, depending on when the wife gets home.
Me, Chicken Fud, and Gatorstomp have been running basically nothing but team slayer, and we are in the middle ground of not knowing what we're doing and being able to sweep snipe anything that moves. Join us! A consistent fourth would be great.

some advice: make a custom game, go on by yourself and find where things are. Also, never die with any grenades left - always toss before entering any room. The 're-do' made grenades mui grande now.

Dammit! So it feels like now its been long enough for the rankings to even out, so a level '6' isnt a real '25' anymore. But dammit, I'm so frigging sick of getting pwned. Basically the last 3 times I have played I have gotten my shit kicked so bad its just not fun. I F-ing hate getting doubled up 50-25, I F-ing hate losing 50-49, I hate getting Ann Coultered 50-1. So it feels like some kind of tipping point, where I could put time in, learn to sweep snipe, and move up into the 20s, or just get pissed at ALWAYS losing and just quit.

I acutally broke out the live this weekend and started playing again. I need to pick up a new headset soon, but I should be on in the evenings or right after work (5 p.m. CST). I definitely need to get some practice in.

I'll probably be on around 9 Central tonight

Ahhh just hang on to the title there Bean. I can't speak for everybody but I think with summer on-line gaming has taken a back seat for the time being. Just to much to do and summer is outdoors, cook outs, fishing, house stuff (me), etc....

Before long we'll all be on again all having a jolly time be it Halo or even on the 360 who knows. I still see TJ, Longfellow and others posting so I might give it a go but I'll need help just firing a gun since it's been that long for me. So for now keep it. It'll come in handy later on.

LMAO!!!! okay so like a week ago beandip and I were getting ready to play some UT2004 when low and behold Buzz Starhopper logs in to XBL........then you started playing UC2 which was cool but I told bean to jump on and tell you to play UT2004 with us..........no dice:(

I'm sure I will be playing Halo2 in the future so I'm not shitting on the overlord position, I've just kind of gotten into playing some games on my pc lately ummm yeah...............BATTLEFIELD 2!!!!!! fun times, I'd highly recommend it to anyone that has the video processing powerhouse that it takes to play this game (I have the minimum).

Anyhow I just wanted to give you all an update on what I've been up to.
