9.1? Uh oh, there are going to be lots of kids' heads exploding on the IGN boards.

Anyway, I just finished Halo 2, so I'm ready for HL2 and MP2 next week. Echoes looks great!

Edit: Just watched the GS video review. This one seems pretty safe from spoilers if you've been reading about the game.(Unlike their spoileriffic Halo 2 video review) But, Brad Shoemaker does the worst video reviews. You can totally tell he's reading. He's just damn boring. They need to not let him do anymore.

So... are there any deals out there on Echoes? Or will we just have to pay the $50 (minus the $5 best buy coupon)?

Best bet is to wait until Fry's ads for next week. They usually won't have the game until Thursday, but if they do another Paper Mario or Tales of Symphonia ($38.99) it's worth a day wait.. at least for me.. I'm stuck at work during the week.

9.1 is still a great score and they say it's as good as Metroid Prime so obviously it's a great game. It's almost as if they knocked off a few points for the so-so multiplayer.

Possibly docked points for being more of an evolution of Prime 1 rather than revolution? I could see that, the demo sure does make it appear to be a "more-of-the-same" game. I still think multi-player should've just been left out.. leave that for the real FPS games.

I'll be picking this up after I'm done with Paper Mario and Halo 2. There are just so many good games out right now, but not enough time to play them.

I just got done messing around with the new Metroid.com. I only went three levels (23%) in but it was a cool website. Must experience.

I'm really scared of this game - I loved the last one, except that it was too hard and frustrating for me to finish. (I never ever had a problem with the 2-D ones)

Now I read that this one's even harder.

Why don't they just have adjustable difficulty levels? - that way, everyone's happy.

I can't wait for this game to come out. The art is phenomenal. And the fact that is more difficult is a plus, that was one thing I was hopingi they'd do since i thought the first was a little easy except a few parts. pansy gamers can go weep in their corner (not you slop101 ).

scores have been superb, I watched some movies and it got me even more pumped up, now if next week would hurry up and get here!!

I'm super stoked... I'm getting my brand new 56inch widescreen HDTV on Friday, and a pair of Nintendo component cables are also on the way. I'm finally going to be able to experience Metroid in all it's Progressive Scan, Dolby Pro Logic II glory!

They pretty much said in the review that the "dud" multiplayer component did not effect the review score. Something along the lines of "the single player game is fantastic and no one's forcing you to play the multiplayer".

I'm excited but also waiting. Funds are more tight especially with DDD %20 off sale. The last prime was available for $30 only a couple months after release so I think I will wait till then.

In the mean time I will play through Zero mission for the umptenth time. I can beat it in 1:02 right now.

Kind of like the opposite of Halo 2.

According to IGN, this is the girl in the new Metroid ad:

Thought I'd spice up this post while we wait for the game to arrive...

I went in to EB today to pickup my HL2 CE. While I was there I asked when I could get my Metroid Prime 2 pre-order. The clerk said he had copies but wasn't allowed to sell them yet. About an hour later at home he calls me and tells me I can come pick it up. Go figure. So, I went and picked it up along with the t-shirt I got for pre-ordering. I haven't had a chance to play it yet as I'm still playing HL2 at the moment. I'll probably pop it in sometime tonight and at least take a look at it. These last two weeks have been great. Halo 2 and now HL2 and Metroid 2.

My reserved copy won't come in til Friday in typical gamerush style. Oh well can't complain, after how cheap it was. I will be playing it this weekend.
