Mine is on the way as well. Glad Nintendo is once again making this easy for people to get that don't want to buy a new Cube.

Yay, got my demo disc on confirmed as well.

Even though it's not a big deal, I still like this thing that Nintendo's doing with registering games and getting free stuff. I was hoping The Legend of Zelda Collection wouldn't be the end of it and I'm glad to see it isn't.

The only frustrating thing is they are doing a lot more with it in Japan. You can get a lot of free stuff by registering games there. Here all we have gotten are the two bonus discs.

I'm not complaining about the discs, but it would be nice to get all the Mario goodies and other stuff given away in Japan.

now I need to get Zelda 4 Swords at least its on sale right now

it is kind of weak that so few games can be registered.

I have 14 games registered through My Nintendo and 3 systems. All the Classic NES GBA games count and 2 are on sale this week at Best Buy for 16.99. Agreed, if Nintendo would give the American market a Club Nintendo I would be a much happier fanboy. This Metroid demo should be great though.

I'll have to pass on the disk. I only have 2 games on the list (Mario Kart: DD and Metroid Zero Mission, and there's only 1 more I want (Mario and Luigi). And I definitely don't want a subscription to NP.

Wow, has anyone been over to Cheap Ass Gamer? There are a lot of people begging for the pins in the Metroid Prime 2:Echoes Demo thread.

I imagine I shouldn't be shocked by this...but I am.

Maybe EB and Gamestop will be sellig this for about ten bucks when it comes out, the same as they did with the MGS2 demo a few years back. I realize that the Zelda disk is going for about forty but that has all those Zelda games on it.

A suggestion: go to EB and Gamestop and remove the codes from displays that the employees already didn't swipe. Apologies to the employees of said stores but spread the wealth.

Can we keep the begging out of this thread? I'd rather this be kept to actual discussion on the game or demo itself. Outlaw(?) started a thread specifically about the bonus disc, I think that'd be a better place to ask for codes if you need them.

You're right. Lets talk about how COOL Metroid would have been if Nintendo embraced online gaming. I could have wet metroid dreams playing this game online with 12 others! Morphing into balls to get away... sweetness. One thing I love about Metroid Prime was the level design! It was just beautiful! I loved how you can adventure off. Since I sold my GC right after completing Prime, I'm without a GC. However, with Nintendo's announcement of Prime 2 and Zelda I'm really on the fence with deciding to re-buy a GC. For $99 with a game it's hard NOT to pass on a GC just for 2 games. Hell I bought an XBOX for ONE game

EGM had a nice write up on Prime 2.

Well I went to rent movies at Blockbuster the other day and I checked out the GC section. One of the Pokemon Colosseum cases still had all the inserts including the PIN number in it. I asked one of the BB employees for a pen and wrote the PIN down. Now I have a Metroid 2 demo on the way as well!

I just thought that I would pass on the info that IGN Insider has the E3 demo up for viewing:

http://cube.ign.com/articles/536/536675p1.html

I don't have access to Insider, and even if I did I really want this game to be a surprise when I first pop it in to my Gamecube. November can't come soon enough!

Edit: Gamespot has it for free.

http://www.gamespot.com/gamecube/act...oes_0806m8.asx

IGN has a really good photo of the contents of the Metroid Gamecube bundle as well as a pic from the history of Metroid. Unfortunately, I seem to be unable to post a link here.

I was at EB earlier today and they had the Metroid Prime 2 demo in the system. I'd have to say I was impressed. Both Light and Dark beams are interesting and the Samus character model looks uber-detailed (can't wait to see in prog. scan). The scan visor was very forgiving-it let you scan things not weren't exactly lined up-kinda cool. I didn't do everything in the demo and I stopped before it ended so I could fully experience it at home.

On a sidenote, EB also plopped in a demo with a playable Paper Mario 2. Hammer bashing a sea of koopa skeletons was great.

And Toys R Us had a playable Donkey Konga set up. The drums felt high-quality and not what I expected. Only a couple of songs were listed but I hung my head in shame and played Blink 182's "All the Small Things". If I looked like an idiot I'm covered in full sleeve tattoos-oooh scary- and no one said anything. Good day to hit the stores.

And then when someone comes in there, buys the game & tries to register the code...?

I was at my local TRU last night and they had the new Metroid Gamecube bundle (with Demo Disc) in stock.

Now excuse me while I try and come up with a good reason why I need another 'Cube...

We should tell that person to buy a new game that is actually new, and not one of EB's or Gamestop's "used games sold as new" games.
