Did anyone catch her comments about people should be able to get by without driving?

The funny thing is, she finally got a car about a year ago. And about 2 months after that, she rear ended someone.

Jeopardy! "Super Tournament" Announced

http://abcnews.go.com/Entertainment/wireStory?id=367959

LOS ANGELES Dec 29, 2004 — If winning more than $2.5 million wasn't enough, "Jeopardy!" whiz Ken Jennings will have a shot at winning an additional $2 million but the competition will be tougher this time around.

Producers of the game show announced Tuesday a "Super Tournament," which will pit Jennings in a final match against two survivors of a competition between nearly 150 past five-time winners.

Host Alex Trebek called the tournament the "quest for Ken."

"Ever since Ken started his amazing run, people have been speculating on how some of the past 'Jeopardy!' players would do against him," Trebek said in a statement. "We're answering that question."

Jennings, too, was anxious about the challenge.

"I can't wait to see who I'll be up against in the finals," he said.

Jennings earned $2,520,700 after a 74-game winning streak. He was beaten by California real estate agent Nancy Zerg.

The matches will begin airing in February or March, and the finals will air in May, said "Jeopardy!" publicist Jeff Ritter.

The third-place winner will receive $250,000 and the second-place winner, $500,000.

I think it's far too early to be bringing Ken back.

Well, it sounds like he's only going to be back for one game.

I'd rather see Ken have to play through the field, rather than get a free ticket to the final.

Yeah, but how would he fare against past winners of Celebrity Jeopardy??? Not very well, I'd imagine!

No kidding...those guys are geniuses. It's no wonder they have to segregate them from the regular players.

If Ken did not make it to the finals, the ratings would definitely suffer though.

I say he should be in the tournament from the beginning and if he wins, Alex Trebek fellates him on the air. "What is swallow, bitch?"

They should just give him his own spinoff show. Something like Win Ben Steins Money or Stump the Schwab were the contestants have to beat him in the final round.

On a unrelated Jeopardy note, the other day I saw the guy who was leading lose the game because he didn't bet enough (usually $1 more than double the person in 2nd place) in FJ. He got the question right too. Dope.

If I remember correctly from when they made the announcement, Ken won't be on this round. The top two winners of this tourney will square off against Ken come next sweeps...oh, I mean May.

Kind of cruel in some cases to show the contestants as they were when they won on Jeopardy originally, and then immediately cut to them as they are today. Like the one teen champ from 86 who had a mullet back then and absolutely nothing on top today.

There's 144 former contestants, whittled down to 2 to face Jennings. The winner gets $2 million, I think. I'm not sure if the final will be one game or two.

I believe the final showdaow will be Ken vs the 2 remaining final champs in a 3 day tournament. BTW...they've really cranked up the difficulty of these questions, as they should. usually, My fiance and i get about 80% right during a typical show, probably around 25% on this tourney.

It will be interesting to see if Ken does as well with increased difficulty material. Is he really exceptionally learned? Or does he just have a general knowledge vacuum cleaner for a brain? I knew a guy who had a photographic memory for useless stuff, but he was no genius. Ask him about anything not shown on TV at some point and he was about clueless. Ken obviously shows skills way beyond that, but if they get into higher level questions I wonder if he's had the exposure. Plus, some of those he vanquished might have beaten him in a written test of the same questions, but his button ability was uncanny to say the least. He was on so long it beacme like watching from his living room while everyone he played was probably nervous as all get out, especially going against him. He also did well at guesing the questions based on the clues contained in the answers. You could always tell when he was doing that. It will be interesting to see him go against opponents not intimidated by him, and having already proven they have what it takes to win.

I've noticed that as well while watching this tourney. I usually do much better than I've been doing the past couple weeks. Definitely going old school in terms of the show's dificulty.
